Rino, It's great interview with Amitai Gat. We are a team behind The Plus Addons for Elementor and we have seen how they corrected things in past few months. They have improved code base quite nicely for future growth and all those by staying in close touch with addons team like us on slack. We got live support and guidance for all the major releases so not even a single user got any trouble in their process of core improvement. We are quite hopeful for upcoming months as Amitai said, They are quite ready for some quick releases as core improvement seems to be done. Wish lots of success for Elementor in future as they have most passionate team with great empathy for their every users.

Hi and thank you both very much for this amazing interview. I think it is very important not to lose track regarding the own user base! Thank you for standing up personally and give us insights in your own processes and challenges. I for myself also thought elementor was stuck in a way that slowed development pace but was noticing a heck of new experiments that I wasnt even able to test all.. Maybe the comment section of this video is also a great place to leave constructive feedback. As an active user of elementor I sometimes see some of the issues. For example I was noticing that the entrance / loading animation does not work perfectly in conjunction with SG Optimizer. Maybe Rino, you as a siteground user are aware of this issue. It triggers the animation twice. Regarding the new features such as the loop builder I will test it. As inspiration for a new video about all the experiments maybe with a more in depth insight. Thank you all very much for the great work. Greetings to all the great people at Elementor!

I'm new to Elementor. Ive been struggling with X then Pro themes (Themeco) for 8 years...... they keep changing it too much and its often site killing buggy. I'm making a 3rd site no with Elementor - wow, its brought my joy back to making website. It very useable, yes, it seems slow bla bla ut its easy, and your Vids and the others make it so easy as we can watch how to do it and build great sites. Its been easy to set the site up right and getit looking all aligned (etc)... fantastic. Many people left x/Pro to elementor - many great professional devs came over here for these same reasons. FYI Rino @LivingWithPixels your vids are awesome - thank you.

I encourage you to consider using Elementor's Hello theme. It's just a blank shell. It forces you to create all aspects of the site, which really pushes for a better overall approach to everything from menu building to loop building to character spacing to... everything! The end result is a better grasp of every nook and cranny of your site, and of site building in general. It's the only theme I use now.

Thanks, Rino, and for Amitai being willing to be "put on the spot" so to speak. As an alumni of your XD course and a current Elementor Pro user, I am finding that I spend too much time debugging after updates on our e-commerce site. I am considering a complete rebuild of the site using the container approach. Do you believe that the container feature is robust and stable enough to justify the investment in time required to make the switch? Sections and columns can be tedious at best and responsive development is currently very time consuming for nested templates in particular. Your advice, as always is greatly appreciated !!

Thanks for a great interview, great to see a real heavyweight in elementor talking with you. I agree that is is a difficult approach to cover new users and professionals alike, I believe that if this is Elementor's strategy, they need to split the free version from the pro version. I would love to know the mindset behind moving to Flexbox vs Grid, and would hope to see this as an option in the future. Thanks again for another really useful video

Splitting up the free version and the pro version is also something I was thinking. So more like an amateur version and a REAL professional version, instead of a pro version that is actually just the limited version of the free. Thanks btw!

"It's a bit nuanced...it's a product for beginners to become professionals." I think it's a difficult but valiant approach. I think it can be done if their heart is behind it. He recognizes it's a much harder road to take, but they do not shrink from the challenge-they embrace it! That's very encouraging. I love the mindset, which keeps me on board. It seems to show that they truly care about people (begnners, professionals, intermediates). He seemed very genuine and authentic. He seems happy with what he is doing. Another positive note. So I would actually agree (perhaps better said, "believe") that it's a wonderful approach. It can be achieved. And if they acheive it, they will be that much better. Hallo Rino! It’s funny because it seems to me that you are facing the same thing, namely to choose between making videos for an audience that doesn’t know much about webdesign (e.g. your basic tutorials and info on hosting etc.) and an audience that already knows how to make websites and is more interested in the refinement of Elementor’s tools. Actually I’d argue you’re also focusing on both, in a way that you want to make videos for beginners that through your channel become more professional and then still find relevant content on your channel👏🏼. And on top of that you’re targeting both the design aspect and the business aspect, which is of course also a relevant distinction for Elementor (e.g. their blogposts that are more business related). Grappig!

This is Elementor for you: I just updated (today) from 3.9 to 3.10.1 and now my website pages are trashed! The faster I can get my customers sites away from elementor and stop paying for their supposed "Pro" software, the better.

@toineenzo
@toineenzo Жыл бұрын
What do you mean with that your pages are trashed? Yes, I also had some problems with every major Elementor update, but this was mostly because of deprecations or incompatibilities with plugins. It’s also bad practice to use Addons that are not updated often which can cause problems. Maybe that’s the problem you’re having?
@jason-m

So my website was running perfectly ok. All plugins were up to date. Wordpress was up to date. I noticed elementor update 3.10.1, hit the update button, now the website loads absent of any styling. @jason-m

@@mgoodkin I've never designed a page so long I felt the need for the section navigator... I can visually scroll there just as fast. Thrive uses breadcrumbs at the top of the builder to let you navigate every nested section specifically which I love. The one thing I don't have in Thrive that I love in Elementor is the ability to right-click and copy and paste styles! *drool* But still, Elementor UI when it comes to rounding corners or entering sizes is WAY SLOWER than Thirves ability to quickly slide left to right to change pixels or percentage

After the release of the alpha version of the nested elements feature, it seems to me that Elementor does not take stability seriously. As a professional, this is a major concern for me and it makes me unable to continue using Elementor. Most of the features are not stable enough for production use and the risk is too high for me to continue using the tool. It's a shame, as I have been a long-time user of Elementor.
@toineenzo

@@toineenzo It is unclear why a feature that is not stable enough for production would be made available for use on live websites. The fact that the container has been in alpha for nearly a year raises further concerns about its readiness for use in a live environment.

The real problem has always been that Elementor doesn't work with the correct methodology for web design. If Elementor worked like, for example, Bricks, which actually follows good web development practices, these problems wouldn't have happened. Rino, look mate, I know you are a designer first, BUT, if people want to develop professional websites, they NEED to learn HTML and CSS; it is easy to learn, honestly, you can learn it in 1 month, and then use a tool that actually works with these things in mind. I invite you to take this in consideration.

I do agree with many of your points, although I am not 100% sure if the future is going to be like this. I think no-code-development is going to be more popular and advanced. That being said: I actually have been testing out Bricks and I see the benefit of using a tool like that. Especially the classes feature, which I think is the biggest benefit for Bricks, don't you agree? For now, I my whole workflow is based around Elementor and I am actually working on a few videos that will use css classes to make the editing experience in Elementor a lot nicer. For now it doesn't make a lot of sense to switch because Bricks misses a lot of features which are essential for the designs that I want to build. If you have any more interesting points then please share them by replying here.

@@rinodeboer What do you mean with "Bricks misses a lot of features which are essential for the designs" Bricks has an edge over Elementor in converting designs from Figma to a real website as it allows for more flexibility and customization without limitations.
@TiagoSLoureiro
@TiagoSLoureiro Жыл бұрын
@@rinodeboer Absolutely no code or low code tools are the present and future. Even for people like me that does know html and css (and js), it makes my work easier and faster. But yes, as you say, one of the biggest plus for a tool like bricks is the class system, which is the way websites are actually developed, and this allows you to make more maintainable, responsive and scalable websites. I am curious, what are the missing features that you consider Elementor has and Bricks doesn't? Maybe there are things that can be done with bricks but is not something that you can see at first glance?

My critic on the Elementor live shows is dont use IT developers to explain how new features work. Developers need to stick to what they do best and educators are far better at putting across a new feature. You Tubers that make tutorials about Elementor for example are far better at it than live broadcasts by Elementor themselves. IE stick to what you do best Elementor and buy into the tutorial experts. I dont think you can try to be all things to all people in the explanation field. Rino, and others like you do a much better job of that than Elementor. That said as a novice website builder, Elementor is a five star product.
