I am an Atheist, but I would still marry a Muslim, Christian or a Jew. Being Muslim (or whatever) doesn't define who you are. Yes, it's a part of you, but not everything. As long as I can stay Atheist, I see no problem. I would respect my husband's traditions and beliefs. I would even participate in certain celebrations (Ramadan), just out of curiosity. And every Muslim I have ever met, where truly nice people...and I always got baklava, haha.

In the Qur’an, there is only one verse that clearly tackles this issue. It is absolutely the main verse that states a provision on marriage with a category of non-Muslims. Allah says: “Do not marry idolatresses (al mushrikāt) till they believe; and certainly a believing maid is better than an idolatress even though she would please you; and do not marry idolaters (al Mushrikīn) till they believe (hata yūminū), and certainly a believing slave is better than an idolater, even though he would please you. These invite to the Fire, and Allah invites to the Garden and to forgiveness by His grace, and makes clear His revelations to mankind so that they may remember.”Qur’an 2:221. Through this Qur’anic order, the verse clearly forbids the marriage of the believing men and women to polytheists, called at the time “mushrikīn”.

Nice video positive and honest responses A muslim man can marry any lady who believes in GOD or People of the book (Ahlul Kitab) Jews, Christians, sabians e.t.c without converting or reverting to islam. As for the muslim women they’re not allowed to marry a non muslim unless he’s willingly revert to Islam.

@@aurelionsol9784 According to the traditional interpretation of Islamic law (sharīʿa), a Muslim man is allowed to marry a Christian or Jewish woman but this ruling doesn't apply to women who belong to other Non-Muslim religious groups, whereas a Muslim woman is not allowed to marry a Non-Muslim man of any Non-Muslim religious group.
