This brought me to tears. I felt an overwhelming sense of relief and joy especially living through a pandemic and having everything shut down. I know everything has opened up again, but now there is this fear to go up to strangers because I'm afraid to be in their personal space. I love sparking up conversations and learning about other people. This was such a nice reminder and motivation to start doing that again. I absolutely love making connections with others.

As a chef, I felt the Hospo guy in the feels. We spend so much time perfecting our craft, working, serving on others & usually compared with other industries, the $$ isn't considered high. Why not try becoming that person for yourself? :) I mean no disrespect but I used to think like that a lot and honestly just let life pass me by without ever doing the things I really wanted to do. I'm not saying you have to do a complete 180 on your personality - it's not about becoming someone else. You can play around a little though, imagine what "a free spirited person" would say to you, how they would act and integrate that into your own self talk. Again it's not about becoming someone else, although I do believe that if you yearn for people like that ultimately youre yearning for a way of being that you already possess deep within yourself! You're kinda yearning for yourself if that makes sense? That was my case anyway. And that's the whole point of trying to integrate another type of self talk, it really is about advocating for yourself to... well to yourself lol Also, it might seem kinda unfair but that's actually the best way to attract those precious "free spirited people" Anyway I hope you don't take this the wrong way, it just feels weird to read your comment, it's like reading myself a few years ago. Good luck with everything :)

in a world where being asked on an adventure by a stranger would be frowned up, your video actually made me believe in humanity again, no ulterior motives, just asking strangers to have an adventure. You never know what lies around the next bend, but saying yes to that adventure probably allowed them to experience something that they will cherish and talk about for the rest of their lives. Thank you Nathaniel for this video.

This made me cry at the end. That was one of the loveliest gestures; asking strangers out to an extraordinary restaurant! And it's YOU who made it so beautiful with your enthusiasm and love. I couldn't believe it was Menton! I used to visit Menton in the '80s and '90s, taking the train down from Paris, where I lived. I would arrive all grey and emaciated, to stay with my friends, Jack and Charlotte (writer and painter). And I would leave full of colour and less depressed. The light in Paris is stark ... but the light in the Menton is pink and blue. Nathaniel, you carry the light within you!

For all the stranger - danger narrative we get fed (which is not without it’s merits, better safe than sorry!), this video shows to us that most people are joyous and friendly, and not everyone is out there to rob you. The world, and humanity is still a wonderful place and the fears of the few should not scare us away from the joys of the many. Really great video, and I admire the amount of courage it took for both you to take the initiative, and for the “strangers” to go to a place they didn’t know, with people they didn’t know.

This was so beautiful. I’m sure that in those awkward moments of asking and worrying about the possible rejections people might have had you must have thought “what am I doing??” But in the end everyone had such a lovely, nearly impossible experience. Absolutely beautiful.

I've just watched two of your videos: Pros/Cons Living in Paris and came upon this one. BRILLIANT, INVIGORATING AND FUN! This 75 year old is living vicariously through you. You've encouraged me to do this with my husband! Destination? Surprise...to be continued!

I was kinda feeling uneasy these days, inpatient waiting for job interview result.... And somehow I found this particular video, I've been following Nathaniel since 2019 and I knew he made great brilliant content here. But I found good energy and kinda joy and excitement and if you believe me, it kinda give me goosebumps when I look at the Male guest when he excited and grateful that he said YES to Nathaniel's adventure ❤️

I just found your channel today and when I saw this video I knew I had to watch it. As an aspiring Michelin star chef everything about this video hit the right chords because being able to share moments with people through food and have it be something you never forget is why I do what I do. I’m so glad that you did this, I am currently in tears, thank you!❤️

One of the best content I’ve watched, even though I don’t get invited to the adventure but I really feel happy to watch it. Thank you for creating this content.

This video touched my heart. It says that you can have fun if you are willing to talk to people. This video shows that world is still full of good people. And this is something different, never saw a video like this ever. I was bored of watching same type of videos on KZfaq. Thanks for the content.
