As an American, it’s weird to me that Brits have that attitude about other people’s success. Thats such a shit way to think. I’m happy for other people that work hard and earn success. So long as they’re good people.

Young Americans who are on TikTok are not a good representation of the USA. Period. And Trump getting elected was a huge WTF for most Americans. He disgraced the USA and is the reason the rest of the world hates us. Most Americans see the Trump-supporters as a cult. And we had hoped Biden would help the world see that we are normal again.

No worries Nathaniel. The Nordics look down on both of you. All of our Nordic generations view you Americans/Brits as our Viking mutts. We have pillaged our way through Great Britain and discovered the US (you are welcome). We basically settled the world. Bow down and show your respect to the Nordics.

Americans seem more arrogant because they don't understand that not the whole world speaks English. I live in Switzerland and I notice that the British try to speak German but the Americans don't. Americans in my country have criticised me several times for not speaking their language. Of course, I can speak English, but the American has to adapt first.

I'm a 90s kid as well, and I share a lot of the sentiment of the uploader and the people in this video. I feel America has lost a lot of the principles that it was founded on. In terms of culture and our society, we don't have a lot to be proud of anymore. I think the U.S. still has a lot of things going for it, but I think the people who live here have completely ruined this country. I also agree with the uploader that with so much social media and so many independent news outlets, people are starting to see through the propaganda. I think the U.S. is a great place to visit for tourism, but it's not a good place to live right now. I really wish foreigners wouldn't get their impression of America from American movies

Being from New Zealand where everybody is "required" to be very humble and to NEVER brag about their achievements, I can find Americans to be overwhelmingly loud and, like Australians, quick to list off all of the "amazing" things that they done. The problem is, they might brag to their Kiwi housemate for months about their three weeks in Japan before being stunned to learn - via someone else - that the guy to whom they're regaling all of this "wonderfulness" lived in a Buddhist monastery in Hokkaido for 12 years. That's what puts New Zealanders off Americans. A lot of New Zealanders are very high achievers, but you'd never know it. Kiwis take British modesty to extreme levels and resent those who don't. However, I have found most Americans I've met to be incredibly warm, kind, supportive, upright and moral people. Many I know feel just the same way. I love them.

TBF, there are plenty of reasons for someone to dislike American culture. A lot really. Ignorance, excessive consumerism, excessive self-confidence, polarized communities fixated on reclaiming their heritage (think: “Irish-Americans”), shady cooperations, aberrant nationalism, etc.

One of the biggest differences between USA and Europe employment wise, is europeans view is "work to live" not "live to work" as Americans seem to think. Over decades the US dreaded " social" revolutions have taken place across europe to make better work for employees conditions. Legislations through european parliaments have made conditions much better while US employee conditions have not moved forward. Another difference of course is universal healthcare is more actual and visable in Europe than USA. Also statistics between europe survival rates and US show universal works better. The US is a Commercial colonalist as opposed to a military colonialist as history of europe had.sure there are large Companies such as BMW and Renault in europe who have expanded worldwide but The US has colonised many european companies.

The title doesn´t even make sense. The US is very diverse, and Europe is even more diverse. Also, people have diverse opinions about what is important for a good life. There is no simple answer to this, it depends on the specific location and the individual´s preferences.

As an American, I noticed how you really emphasized urban life in this video. I think Americans tend to be more involved in wildlife and nature in general. Many people I know hunt, and I personally fish. We are very outdoorsy people. Also, in my opinion, with all of the types of biomes you can see in one country, the USA has the best nature out of any country in the world. You can go from forests, to deserts, to plains, to mountains, to tropical beaches, to galciers, etc. This is what make Americans stay in the USA because of how much this country holds naturally. I've been to a few countries in Europe and Im not saying there is no great nature (because there is), but I noticed that Europeans don't get involved in this lifestyle as much as the USA.

Definitely, the US had a spring time of popularity back in the Obama years. Trump was a disaster for the US image in Europe and in the EU in particular. As for the "Americans" controversy, in spanish we have the word "estadounidense" to refer to US citizens, and I see a tendency to not refer to US citizens as "Americans" despite the US influence in movies, shows etc.

I think the main problem stems from rebellion and patriotism if you will. I watched several small documentaries of Czechs and Polish people, in large part studying Czech culture since my forefathers immigrated from southern Bohemia in the late 1800s. I was surprised how well disciplined and educated average grade school kids were. My niece was a foreign exchange student there, and she was baffled how advanced they were verses Americans, not just in Czechia, but in Europe as a whole. I ran into a young Polish girl once tending a snow cone truck. I asked her honest opinion, and she said, well it's a very large country with a lot of people. She then told me that she did not care for the fakeness of Americans, how they put on airs if you will with all the Hi and "how are you`s", when in actuality they really could care less. It's a facade as she put it, it was hard to get used to because in Europe we don't talk just to talk, there is a reason behind a question, or to laugh, or to have drama, which she claimed American girls are full of. She went on how her and a friend of hers from Russia were almost arrested because without realizing it they walked on a private beach. She said you all beat your chests about freedom, but how is that free. The only way you are free here is if you have money. I'm an old man now. I have never forgot that conversation. I see many upper to middle class college kids doing the same tired ignorant things the hippies did, going on about a revolution and forcing the world to change claiming to despise hate but use it to spray their narratives to the world. The Christians have never changed, they want to use the bible as a rule book and be a referee but yet far from live it themselves, claiming love of a God that will torture you if you won't do as he says, sure don't sound like love to me. Americans are lazy, or over achievers. They are extremely caring or could care less, and so on. There is no mid ground, right or left, Christian or sinner, blah blah blah. Someday maybe, everybody will go back to minding their own business, working on themselves as a way to make the world better, instead of trying to tell everyone else what they should do. As far as America? Drugs and addict mentality will kill it, it will be still called the same thing, but the captains running the ship are under mutiny, and the ship will sail under new command. However, how well it will sail and how the voyages will prosper is yet to be seen....

Of course, Americans are like the British and British are like Americans, and Americans think the British are intelligent while the British think Americans are not intelligent. Like father like son, and son always praises and looks up to their father (even if he's drunk af! & break things) while the father always thinks he's great and better than his son and should learn from him.
