Yay for Hyatt. I got the WOH card earlier this year when the sign up bonus was higher. I highly recommend especially with their expanding footprint this year. It's a keeper card for sure..

I think we define "perks" differently. For the CSP, you have great travel protection and transfer partners.

First, great video! Love these kind of videos. Second I think a video of the top 30 cards from all companies would be cool. Also maybe a guide on which cards to get in which order. I saw another KZfaqr do something similar where he went with what card you should get first and then kept going. Obviously chase cards were first.

Awesome video, lots of super good information! A video just like this for ALL the Bank business cards would be awesome, and of course an American Express version would be super useful! Girlfriend and I are very much in the early game, so this year I’ve gotten the CSP, she got the Chase FU, the Ink Cash and she’s gonna get the CSP here in a few weeks! Aside from the Ink cards, I definitely think I want the Hyatt Card as my next personal, and maybe a Southwest one after. Thanks again Sebby!

Took your survey But here’s my list. CSR Freedom SW Priority United Explorer Chose SWA and United as they have a heavy presence where I live. Had the Freedom for a very long time. CSR is where I build my points. As for a hotel card, I use the Amex Aspire.

Loved the video. Haven't heard of the Hyatt Card ranked 2nd, so it was good to hear a little about it; will definitely research it now. The Chase Unlimited had been my good to right now ONLY because of the 3% promotion they had recently. Then I transfer points to my CSP card for better UR usage. I'd rank it a tad higher for the first year with its current promo.

I just got the slate. I did the no interest in 15 months. It's savings was really good for me. I paid off my credit one and closed it. Plus my cap 1 that never reported. And a green dot secured that I have had for over 2 years. So slate worked for me. The rep said I can upgrade to freedom in 6 months or just get it as additional card from them. My scores are good. I just wanted to get out of debt soon. I don't want to be paying credit card bills when I am 80 on social security. Thanks sebby. Love your videos 😍.

Yeah I agree with the Starbucks card, I always think it's pointless since I do not go to starbucks often and IMO they do not have the best coffee. I usually go there if it is the only option. Plus those Star rewards are not much, you can only redeem them for drinks and stuff and its alot of stars to get them redeem too.

When speaking about the Freedom card @10:45 you say 5% back could really mean 10% or 7.5% back. I'm new to this but I'm assuming you mean you can potentially get more by transferring your points to your CSP/CSR and redeeming through the UR transfer partners?

Chase trifecta plus the WOH card makes by far the most sense for me. I transfer all my points to Hyatt and seem to average 2c/point with basically zero hassle.

hey Sebby, I was wondering if you kept your "SPG" now Marriott Bonvoy card? I am still a bit confused as whether I should keep it or not. There is a $95 fee, however I think it now comes with a yearly free night award. The switch definitely made if more confusing, and I would appreciate some more guidance.

Geography and personal habits really can alter rankings of the top cards. Southwest doesn't fly out of our city so that card is of zero value. When we fly, our layovers are short so lounge access is rarely needed and our home airport doesn't have any, so the CSR is less valuable and I personally value an airline card higher to get free baggage. Having said that after a year I will consider upgrading my CSP to CSR to get the higher multipliers and the 1.5% boost. Great video - yes I would like to see more like this.

I’m super new to CC’s and it’s like watching videos on learning a foreign language. I feel like I need to start at the introductory level and work my way up. Should I watch random videos and they will start to make sense or is there an order I need to follow? Sorry to sound so ignorant but I truly want to do this the correct way. Sebby, can you clarify the no perks on the Chase Sapphire Preferred? I was under the impression the insurances, and coverage of this card was comparable to the Reserve!

Sebby, I originally had the CSR. After year 1, I downgraded it to the freedom unlimited because I was not anticipating traveling in year 2. I am now rarely using my freedom unlimited card because I am busy hitting other minimum spend. I am planning on traveling a few times in the next year, would it make sense to product change back to CSR? Pro's/Con's to product changing the same account multiple times? Thanks!

Love the 5/24 synergy! From a purely cash back perspective, my top five are a bit different...but no doubt about it...I should have gotten the IHG Premier and World of Hyatt cards before I hit 5/24. It's going to be a long gardening session for me, but I'll get there.

Would love to see this video again this year. I was super happy to get the IHG premier card but with the recent point devaluation.... it’s just sad. I haven’t even gotten the chance to have fun with the card.

One thing you should probably mention is that for a lot of these csrds ( travel ones for example) you need to have great credit and a long history of credit. The sapphire preffered and Reserved can't be obtained by people(most I should say) that have started building credit for a couple years or just started building

I had a Chase card (can't remember the name) since 1996. It was kept going because I had an annual autopay from it for a credit monitoring agency. Then I discontinued that sometime in the early/mid 2010's. Later, the card morphed into the Slate card. When I continued to ignore the card, the company eventually closed it in 2017.

A new promotion for the Chase Freedom Unlimited is 3x on everything in your first year, instead of the usual $150 after $500 spend. I think this promotion should definitely bump this up higher in the list. I am going to apply for the card on June 1st when I’m under 5/24.

Question kind of off topic. I have a player 2. And she has CSR and I have a venture. After we buy our first house in a couple months we will start getting as many sign up bonuses as possible. Is it best to each get each of the chase cards or only one of each card between us. So I’d have CSP and she has CSR etc. or maybe we get opposite cards then refer her to the cards I have and she refers me to her cards?

I mostly agree with the ranking, but I would slot FU and Explorer higher. FU is the jam for big-ticket non-bonus spending (outside of the sign-up period with a new card). I honestly don’t use it that much because I infrequently make such purchases and am usually getting a new card, but it’s nice to know it’s there if I’m going to get new speakers or an appliance or something. Depending on circumstances, Explorer provides huge value; it’s the only “tier 3” card I know of that provides reimbursement for known traveler programs; it unlocks access to more award space; it provides two lounge passes every year, which are handy when a PP lounge is inconvenient or nonexistent. Also, for anyone who is trying to economize their card collection and/or does not have a CSP/CSR, I believe the United cards are the only other Chase cards with primary rental car insurance. IHG Premier is of interest to me as the holder of the legacy IHG card, particularly now that it’s clear that they will not be grandfathering the unlimited anniversary night beyond the first year. The Premier is a better value proposition for anyone who actually stays at IHG properties, since the break-even is $533 annually. Shame that Chase does not seem to do upgrade offers like Amex, or I would strongly consider a product change. Meanwhile, Bonvoy Boundless is the key reason I wish I were still under 5/24. I’ve historically found the $5k minimum spend to be onerous. However, ironically, it makes a lot of sense as a mid-to-late game card, in my opinion. Southwest cards have always put me off for their lack of even an unpublished no-fee downgrade option. Also, I really wish Chase would make the Prime Card UR-earning instead of cash back. Or offer a sister card with that feature. 3 or 4 UR points at Amazon would be game-changing, and I would wager the majority of that card’s customers would still cash out those points.

Hi Sebby, I was reading on million mile secrets about a datapoint for the British Airways card where when calling to cancel, the cardholder was offered an option to downgrade to a no annual fee version of the card. If this is true, would this affect how you would rate that card?

CSR is my daily driver. Hyatt card definitely worth it. Just got my annual night cert and used it for Santa Bárbara centric otherwise it would be $442.44 so...definitely worth the $75 annual fee. My unlimited card helps me add extra points throughout the year. So... outsized value with all of these cards.

Nice channel, I’ve been watching a lot of your videos. A video that I think would be helpful is about how to build a sustainable long-term model. I have 3 chase and I funnel the points to Reserve. 1. If I switch to Amex trio how is that awesome after the first year? 2. Let’s say I went from chase trio to Amex trio, that means I’m good for say 2 years. (Maybe 2 sizable trips) 3. How can we build something more sustainable? Is that even possible? 4. I was thinking maybe using the chase Trio and then getting a hotel oriented card to balance all that out, to just get a free room every year in order subsidize the chase travel rewards that I accumulate. But is that optimal!?

That's pretty much how I see it too. Except Disney is worth even less to me than starbux lol. I tend to rank the Freedom cards a bit higher, but that's because I use them as a system which you mentioned. So for me, it's CSP, CF, CFU as the top three, then all the rest. If I didn't have a Platinum Card it would be CSR. Got some good ideas on their hotel cards tho - thanks for the vid.
