I remember I watched this video years ago and didn't anything of the name. Completely forgot about it a day later. It can actually happen quite easily - occuring when the raquet correctly comes edge up and you pronate too late hitting with the frame. It happened sometimes following the 2020 COVID layoff when the players were out of practice.

It's just a kick 2nd serve. The ball being further behind the head and/or to the side means getting the racquet up the back of the ball for topspin and coming across the ball diagonally from the side for side spin. It's great from a safety point of view as it gives both high clearance over the net and drags the ball back down into court. It also pushes the opponent back and wide, giving the server more time to recover and the returner a ball that needs pace generated into it from a position they don't want to be in. Unfortunately, the extreme path of the servers racquet requires greater timing. It's easy to catch the frame of the racquet on the ball and when that happens, it makes it appear like the serve was awful.

Our tennis coach used to tell us to get our serve in. Just get it in even if you have to tap the ball in. If you cannot get your serve in, you cannot win a point. RIP coach.
