Don't know how true it is, but I remember reading in the WoW forums that the original plan was supposed to be that Sylvannas kills Genn, then Liam and Tess become leaders of the Worgen. That changed after Blizzard noticed people on the forums were hyping up Genn a lot because he was the only remaining king from the original Alliance.

@@Y.Moroboshi to be fair, I'd rather had Liam survive. He was a comic relief moron... but at least I found him kinda likeable. Genn is just shit and the reason why Worgen as a race only have Forsaken hating and furry friendly as traits.

@@alejandronieto4212 I'm of a similar mind. Liam could have had a story arc of learning the true weight of the crown of Gilneas and acted as semi-contemporary for Varian and an older brother for Anduin during Cataclysm. Alternatively, have Tess be the Gilneas liaison in Stormwind and have Liam stay in Teldrassil. Of course, this is assuming Blizzard had actually good writers for WoW, which we all know isn't the case (all we need to point to is Cataclysm-era green Jesus and the horribly-written goblin starter questline).

@@Y.Moroboshi The goblin starter quest line is the only thing I still live in wow (with the exception of Thrall dumb decision on letting Galliwyx get away like nothing happened) I would like to play a full game with the goblins storyline of these quests.

@@zaishijunior9455 Well, the thing is that the reason Thrall did that was because they wrote themselves into a corner by making the only competition to Galliwyx be the player character (and the player character can't be trade prince for obvious reasons). Galliwyx would have been executed if instead of the player being the next in line for Trade Prince it had been someone else. The player character should have been more like your average working joe, and the Trade Prince contender should have been someone like Sassy Hardwrench (really could be any named character). Set it up that the player character works for her but gets caught up in corporate warfare because Gally wants to stay in power. This could be used to introduce all the goblin lore bits and would also explain why the player is the one doing the errands/quests. Show that Gally and Sassy don't really care about you until you meet and gain Thrall's confidence, which is where there is a split. Gally wants to kill you (because he sees more competition), while Sassy instead decides to buddy up to you because she knows it would be to her advantage (and she's proven to be right since after killing Gally she becomes the Trade Prince).

The worgen that Archmage Arugal unleashed upon the Scourge came from the Emerald Dream. They were originally Night Elf druids who used thee forbidden wolf form and gave into the bloodlust and uncontrollable rage that came with it, as Goldrinn had warned them(but of course, we all know that Night Elves don't listen to their gods until it's too late). The only thing that could be done was for Malfurion to imprison them in a part of the Emerald Dream where they couldn't hurt anyone. But of course, at some point Archmage Arugal found a way to summon portals to the realm, despite not knowing what the hell he was doing, and that's how he unleashed the worgen onto the Scourge in Silverpine Forest and the fallen part of Gilneas(at the time).

Alterac didn't side with the orcs - their king merely allowed them free passage through their lands and straight into Lordaeron in exchange for the safety of his people. He got caught, executed, and his kingdom fell to ruin. After the conclusion of the Second War, the remaining human nations then began to fight with each other over who would claim the former kingdom of Alterac as theirs.

Remember when Greymane said to Bolvar's daughter that he gave promise to Bolvar and held candle to the heroes of Azeroth while they were defeating Lich King? While in reality he was still cowering behind the walls back then. I hate how Blizz retcons or forgets stuff to whitewash someone or otherwise.

ah i watched this and I was honestly shocked by how greymane is as a king. so now that I think about it i can see why he declined the throne of stormwind when Mathias Shaw asked him to fill in for Anduin in his absence. Instead of trying to blow up the portal they should have built a giant murder cage around it that only gives way for one path for the massive orc army to run too. As soon as they step through the portal pike barricades and crossbows should have met them. I mean imagine how much that shit would shock an orc and how effectively they could have massacred orc invaders.

The night elfs did f*** a lot of stuff up if anything sylvanas burning down their tree was actually all part of her redemption arc to stop them from accidentally evaporating all the water on the planet or something.

i actually remember, now, a quest chain in Dragonblight (WotLK) wherein there was a minor backlash caused by one of the (i think a named Scarlet mob) NPCs committing suicide by jumping off a cliff. Worgen as a playable race came in the next expac, as did the "starter zone" questline wherein Godfrey takes the (meticulously ambiguous) dive.

To be fair, they weren't really called night elves until after the sundering, they were just elves with a sect called the highbourne. The highbourne that didn't become naga became the high elves, and later the blood elves, and the elves that were not highbourne simply just stayed as night elves

Okay, so here's how you get rid of anything coming out of the Dark Portal. Blades.. massive blades from pillar to pillar, stacked top to bottom 3:1 Empty:Blade. The edge of the blades directly touching the entrance. Anything comes out 🤷‍♀️ julienne orc 😵
