Classic is an entire different experience from any other expansion out there for WoW. Some of my best gaming moments were 15yrs ago playing classic for the first time.

@elviade vanilla is not fun to play either.. pressing 1 or 2 buttons every 2-3 seconds and watching for 1 mechanic at a boss is not really fun in my opinion. But everyone likes something else, right? Gameplay wise, wow became better at each expansion i prsonally think. just compare arena games in BC with arena games in bfa. Its a whole other level.

friend of mine got eye of sulfuras in classsic, only thing the guild helped out with were the ingots. Rest he farmed for himself over a few weeks. Its only special like this if you have a lot of connections like asmon does. On probably no other server will guilds just throw stuff together. Sometimes they trade ingots, yeah. "we give you 3 now, you give us 5 back later" and stuff. But not give arcanite bars basically for free or something :D

This is unrealistic these days and it has nothing to do with Blizz. Asmon just happens to be a large streamer with a dedicated fanbase.

@@MangoOverthere "These days" being the operative phrase. The point was that "legendary" items were just everywhere at the time, literally everyone had them. Do a quest line that everyone gets and get a legendary at the end, easy. If you inspected any single character that was raiding end game content they all had the exact same legendary ring or whatever it was. Legendary weapons in original wow were very hard to get because the game was fundamentally different. Seeing someone with Sulfuras or even just 1 Twinblade was the dopest shit ever. You don't think entire guilds came together in classic to get their guild mates some of the most powerful and extremely difficult to get items in the game? A legendary item should be and feel just that, LEGENDARY. At the time in retail, you got your obligatory legendary item and joined the legions of other players that also had it. To be clear, I totally get it to like current WoW, especially if someone didn't play any of the first 3 iterations of the game. It's just again so fundamentally different from what it used to be

@@magerr98 Good point. Unfortunately they're more about making money and catering to casual players it seems. I definitely miss these days and wish they did more to bring us back to older regions or something. It's called "WORLD of Warcraft" and they always just focus on the new expacs' continents instead of immersing us in the world as a whole. Like it would be cool if older factions made a return and had like feuds or civil wars or anything really. Makes it excusable to 'recycle' content that's been forgotten over the years.

@@magerr98 Actaully legendaries in vanilla were super easy to get, because the raid bosses had less mechanics than modern day normal dungeon bosses. So basically every casual can get those legendaries, just like in retail. The only thing that prevented that from happening was people litterally being shit at the game - like really terrible dog shit. And imagine the outcry these days, if there was the possibility to get a legendary, that drops only from mythic endboss (which is actually hard unlike getting a vanilla legendary). People would raid the Blizzard headquater before getting into the new raid.

@ayo aye that's just a matter of personal opinion and preference. I raided vanilla wow hard back in the day, and there's just zero value for me in playing the same raid I played when I was in high school. I'd lose my mind if I was still grinding MC and BWL this many years later. I love retail. It's not easy unless you choose so. Join a mythic raiding guild and push 20+ keys, it's not easy to say the least.

actually incorrect, fury 2hander pulls higher dps with this wep then any ret or enhance as the 2handed slam build, but you need sub 30ms to pull it off.

@@mikehicks8236 some of us have work from 9 till 6 and then have to cook making it even later so abt 8pm is when Im able to hop on and then I have to sit in queue for an hour making it 9pm when I can actually play only to have to log off an hour after :) so no, you can barely get anything done in an hour considering the travel times back and forth.
