В чем заключается процесс реставрации? В том, что ты "помыл" на вид убитую вилку, которая оказалась в отличном состоянии? Или в том, что дерьмово ее покрасил? Даже не удосужился поролоновые кольца промыть. Сраный кликбейтер.

Amigo, como é antiga , deve ser difícil achar peças. Estou com dificuldade de achar o kit pra trocar do meu canote retrátil também antigo.

I don’t replace wiper seals unless they are damaged or have jagged edges etc as they wear in. Foam rings should be replaced every time though.

I was going to say that - replace them more times than the o-rings inside as a professional. Nice job on them though, could have done with a Matte/satin finish though

Great restoration! It would have been amazing If you gave some colour to the fork lock, It looks like the blue is quite gone. You did a fine job with that fork, looks sick!

In future, use brake cleaner and clean the foam rings better. Spray cleaner and squish the foam ring and you'll get everything out of them and make them like brand new.

Great. Not sure about reusing dust boots, but can't always get em I guess. Very much enjoy the lack of commentary. Life is short, waffling on doesn't always add value. Good visuals too.

You should clean the foam rings using dish washing soap before re installing it.

You don’t want that. Washing soap contains salt that you do not want anywhere near the inside of your fork and 100% you don’t want that in the damper it will corrode everything once it mixes with the oil.

hey man. I recently purchased a used 29er with a Rockshox Reba fork. Now, I noticed that my front wheel is buckling to the left when braking, but more worryingly, I noticed the fork will vibrate/shudder if I just clip on the brakes, so not actually braking, just moving the bike forward and suddenly just clip the brake will induce a visible vibration/shudder. would you reckon the fork is done for or something that can be repaired? cheers brother.

Очень классная вилка , у меня такая же, вилке 15 лет , а новые сейчас ничем не лучше , я бы сказал по работе даже хуже

@@ModHiveNet Я не менял пыльники примерно лет 10 , просто меняю масло и то очень редко , вилке хоть бы хны , как новая , что визуально , что внутри , что по работе, а так в Польше есть ремкомплекты

@@ModHiveNet я знаю , у меня принцип , пока не попало ничего , можно не менять , слежу и все , а перебирать каждые 50 часов это как по мне только для спортсменов , они же в своё время мне кажется каждую гонку выкидывают и покупают новую вилку

о боже ты поставил старые паралонки и сальник , иы умный ваще дядь , это расходник так то . А учитывая их состояние , они подлежат замене . Я уж не говорю что ты сальники диформировал при снятии , а это уже замена....

You should better read manuals. It's not a good job with old seals, foam and dust rings. Also if it a restoration, paint should be matte

As long as they wiper seals aren’t cracked or perished they’re ok to use again. Seals wear in with use and get better, although foam rings should always be changed.
