Winter camping in a snow storm ASMR with my FJ Cruiser for 2 nights at -15°C / 5°F in my James Baroud Rooftop Tent. The winter days are short and we find ourselves in darkness pretty early on both nights. Follow along with us and relax with the sounds of a cracking blue flame campfires, the winds of the storm, the crunching of the snow, and the sound of wood chopping in ASMR. Also Happy 2021!
Once again I test out my new James Baroud Tunnel Awning and Awning Room to see how it holds up in the cold temperatures. Stay tuned for a full review coming soon!

We're in full lockdown here in Sydney, Australia at the moment and have been so for almost 10 weeks. With no way to go to the great outdoors ourselves, watching this is a breath of fresh air. You have great content, keep it up! 💪

Beautiful video, I have just one question, how do you take the birds eye shots from above? Drones? And how do take the shots where the camera is ahead of you and your car is moving towards the camera!

Great stuff! Do you also have the insulation kit for your JB tent? How is it sleeping up in the RTT in that kind of cold?

Thanks! I do not have the insulation kit - would have been helpful! Definitely very brisk at those temperatures, but as long as you have properly rated sleeping gear, sleeping is still cozy haha.

Is it okay to cut down trees like this? Because we're losing trees right? Aren't we?

Well the trees we selected were dead trees, so there’s that. But also, if we didn’t cut them for the fire, we would have froze to death. Cutting down a tree for warmth is better than digging in into the earth for oil and gas or coal. Trees only capture and release carbon that already a part of the immediate ecosystem, whereas coal and oil is locked into the earth and wasn’t meant to interact above surface. When we burn oil and gas and coals, we end up releasing things into the ecosystem that was not there before, and therein lies the problem. Also, you can replant trees. You can’t force oil and gas back into the earth’s crust.
