Juliette and I were aquainted through mutual friends and although this was our first time meeting, we were able to estalish a mutual sense of trust and safety for the duration of the session. Juliette's energy is very caring and uplifting, beautiful inside and out.
Sorry for any background noise towards the beginning to middle of this video - I generally film around early evening, my preferred time for these sessions. Unfortunately background noise is inevitable sometimes as I live in a busy city. Yes she is wearing a shirt. My Grandmother used to do this for me as a child. I was very sick with Lupus and I was abused. She didn't really have a name for it then. But she whispered and said comforting words and phrases. She'd brush my hair and apply continuous light touch. I really couldn't have survived at all without my Grandma. I miss her so much.

Watching someone else get massaged and hair brushed is so much more relaxing than a mannequin. And I think it's our sympathy receptors that relax us. When we see someone smile, we smile, when we see someone cry, we cry. When we see someone relaxed, it relaxes us

Most people in North America are very touch starved because of society's assumption of relations. If you go to places like Japan or Israel, or other places considered "Eastern", people who are just friends would hug each other, cuddle up very close, some even holding hands, but it's all platonic. Over here on the Western continents, if a male and female are platonic friends, it's immediately assumed that they are in a romantic relationship. I don't know what caused everybody to think this way, but I don't like it at all.

However, I get what you mean by people are more likely to assume that a girl and a guy are in a romantic relationship if they're close friends!

@@_iamlilla That's kind of what I what I was trying to say. North Americans may be touchy, but it's always intended to be, or otherwise seen as, a romantic gesture between involved couples. In some places in Asia, it may very well be less common, but those same actions are almost never seen as romantic, they are just friendly gestures between platonic friends.

It’s always so interesting to see what triggers other people. For me, the sounds of her mouth actually detracted from the ASMR. However, that’s not always the case for every video. Weird, huh?

Annabelle yeah me too. It’s nice to see we might be in the minority and others really love it. I actually decided just before I came to the comments that I can’t listen to her vids I need to watch them bc that’s where I get more relaxation is in her visuals. I really like thought and kindness she brings to her work so I’m not saying it as negative, but I also find it interesting how different we all (while being so similar).
