Hello Everyone!! In this ASMR video I will show you my Magic: The Gathering Commander Horror deck. It works by having your opponents mill a lot of cards and then have the opponents exile those cards/ or their graveyards which will then buff the commander.
There are hand movements, fabric sounds, tapping, card shuffling, and it is all done in a soft spoken tone.

No matter how long I'm away from Magic, I always find my way back to it. It's just one of those things that I love with all my heart, and it's always been there for me. And now I can enjoy it in asmr. I absolutely love this! I've been playing Arena lately. I discovered the "party" mechanic, and made an all human/angel party deck. It's so much fun and in sync. I also have a pretty mean dragon deck that makes me feel bad when it works. This was so lovely! It just brings me so much joy nerding out listening to you read the cards, at the same time that it's bringing me peace and helping me sleep. So thank you! 💛

I absolutely LOVE your low, almost droning voice. It is so calming, it itches a spot in my ears I didn’t know was there. I also completely relate to making a deck and playing it and it feeling “mean”. Usually anytime I make a control deck or use counter-spells I always feel like a jerk 😂

I have seen people make asmr videos out of guns, violent videogames and tragic subject matters. But you managed to make the horror, the aberation, the nails to the chalboard that is a mill deck relaxing! That's impressive. Altought i'd say playing against it would not be a soothing experience unless loud table slams and curses are your favourite triggers.

My most evil deck was a counter/mill deck with no damage. 40 cards + Feldon's Cane. It had counters, millstones, jester's cap, etc, but it also had: Glasses of Urza - Look at opponent's hand Nebuchadnezzar - guess a card from x cards in opponent's hand, if it matches, it's discarded.

I have a deck with toxrill. It's what I deem as an upgrade on a deck I found here. Just a few slight changes to the lineups. Toxrill is an amazing and fun commander. But Toxrill puts a massive target on you. My toxrill deck is a mix of mill, and gifting. I mill my opponents while gifting them small token creatures. After toxrill enters the tokens I initially gave away begin to die with slime counters on them. As each one dies I get a slug baby. I then use those slug babies to do lots of things, attack, cause damage, get mana, draw, ect. But for most things I need to sac the baby slugs. Where slaughter and species specialist both put in work. Zulaport cut throat, viscera seer, blood artist, dictate of erebos, alter combos. That sorta deal

I've had this on all day whilst I work to help destress, it's been great. For card recommendations, you can't go wrong with Sakashima of a Thousand Faces, you can copy Umbris and get double all the triggers! There was a card from Baldur's Gate that made a token on upkeep that interacts with Horrors really well, although I can't remember the name. There is of course a huge variety of nasty blue cards you *could* put in but I don't think it will make you many friends. :D

I realize that KZfaq is an environment where the vast majority of the bonds that are formed here are parasocial relationships. And it’s really hard to break through and make real two-way connections on here. I know that there’s a difference between Morika and the person behind the performer. If you don't know Magic: the Gathering. Please know Morika is legit - this feels mean because it is deliciously, perfectly, horrifying. Imagine everything you wanted to do in a game, imagine spending hours poring over way to brew a personal, thematic way to win an emergent, diverse game...and then some...thing plucks it from your brain and uses it against not just you, but every player, to win. That's what this kinda deck do. And this deck, it do like crazy! Morika and her rivals seem pretty awesome!

I can't say mill isn't mean at all, but as a stax/lockout player I can say it's far from the meanest at least lol. I also don't really get to play stax much because it is so very stigmatized.

It's a shame Umbris doesn't have some sort of protection like ward or shroud. He is always going to be a kill on sight type of commander. The mechanic he has is awesome though. Great video like always. :)

I think my meanest deck is an all-black Pestilence deck that relies on Drain Life, Syphon Soul etc. to keep my life total higher than all the opponents'. This deck is meaner than mine, though. 😈

This will sound weird but do you make non-ASMR versions of these? I was interested in the cards but the ASMR aspects meant the pacing was too slow and I got impatient. :P

my favorite commander is Teysa Karlov. sai master thopterist is a good intro to mono blue artifacts red green control is a fun off beat deck (building it requires researching old color breaking cards)

I haven't played competively since Kaldheim. Midnight Hunt was decent, but they couldn't deliver the second half of the set with Crimson Vow, making the whole thing fall flat without the heavies that it needed. I'm hopeful for the return to Eldraine and Ixalan, but in the last few years, quality of MTG has gone down and price has gone up.

I totally was! I actually looked it up after I filmed because as I was reading the card it was the first time I think I really realized I might have been getting it wrong this whole time 😅
