@@The_Sphinx-22 The closest I’ve seen to “Horror ASMR” is Ephemeral Rift, but his content is more Lovecraftian than scary. By “unique”, I meant the Concept of taking something that is legitimately terrifying to the people who have experienced true Sleep Paralysis, and turning it into a video for relaxation, and ironically, for sleep, while actually embracing the terrifying aspect of the Concept, instead of turning it into a joke. And no, ASMR has been a thing on KZfaq since at LEAST 2013, if not earlier, which I distinctly remember because of the extremely specific circumstances of my Life at the time that I discovered the first handful of ASMRtists (read: TheOneLillium and TheWaterWhispers Ilsa, both of whom are from European countries, possibly Holland [?]), which I randomly stumbled upon with the help of The Algorithm, which recommended me videos from their channels after I started watching Guided Meditation videos to fall asleep to. 2017 might’ve been the time that ASMR first attained a level of recognition by “The Mainstream Culture”, but I assure you that it had already been around for several years by then. The most popular ASMRtists at the time were Heather Feather (who is still in the Top-Tier of ASMR voices), Gentle Whispers (aka Maria, who is still making excellent content, even after a decade), ASMRrequests (aka Ally, who was responsible for the “Departure” videos which were widely considered a landmark achievement for the genre as a whole), and MassageASMR (aka Dmitri, who recently made a phenomenal comeback), although the number of quality ASMR content creators has been steadily increasing since then, at an exponential rate of expansion. And yet, out of ALL of those other channels, this one still stands out to me as an original concept.
