Omg this bought back memories, both of visiting South Africa and of primary school lol. My year 6 teacher was from South Africa (I'm from NZ, we have a lot of South Africans here lol) and every time a kid would complain about something dumb (the work was too hard or something), she'd say jokingly "ag shame, you poor dear" hahahaha. Edit - just got to the now bit lol. Every South African I've ever met says "just now." "I'll do it just now."

This is so interesting. Got me to thinking of all the words we use in the US which are probably weird to other countries lol. I perked up when you were talking about the traditional South African braai. It reminds me of that video GentleWhispering did showing traditional Russian foods and salads that she made. You should do one of those but for traditional South African dishes. That would be so interesting. You're the first South African ASMRist I have seen so you must represent 😁😁😁 lol. Africa is not a country, it is a continent made up of many countries. Different countries speak different languages. Example, in Algeria which is in Northern Africa, french is a common language. In South Africa, which is a totally separate country, English and Afrikaans are common languages. Did you know that Africa is a continent, not a country?
