In this video I show you how I made the dress for my 1840s Greek court gown, the Amalia Type Costume. The fabric I used were 5-6 meters of striped polyester taffeta (I'd loved to use silk, but even the this version made my wallet cry :D) and one meter of the pink taffeta. It was very difficult to find the right fabric, as my vision was to have a pastel coloured striped taffeta, that did not cost an arm and leg - at the end I found this one in a local wholesaler warehouse (eurotextil). For the embroidery I used my Janome Memory Craft 500e, 2000 meters of pale gold and 100 meter silver thread. The belt buckle is vintage from facebook marketplace.
