The story in AC4 was let’s be honest… really below average It start off well with being a pirate, plundering ships and searching for a treasure so grand you’d be set for life The minute the assassins and Kidd come into the equation, it gets very bland, you’re no longer this bad guy pirate you bought the game to play as but you’re a good guy? When I played through the first time all I could think about was how it’d take Edward and his crew + allies a afternoon to wipe out the assassin’s creed, when I played it first it was to be a assassin, but a couple hours in I completely forgot about that and the game would’ve been much more interesting if you were just a pirate in the middle of the assassins vs templars fight, plundering whoever went in your way to find the observatory and use it for your own pirate nation

I disagree, how the treat the downfall of the pirate republic is very well done. The Assassin and Kidd act as good devices to develop Kenway`s charactment, if Edward stayed as greedy pirate 24/7 it will get boring fast.
