I felt a little nostalgic myself. But I'm saving most of it when this game it proven to truly be a good game and a true return to what made AC great.

I’m still extremely hyped for this… but… Bro, the stiff/slow free running and parkour is really killing me. It’s way more reminiscent of Odyssey/Valhalla’s running/parkour, than it is of the Ezio trilogy’s (like they claimed it’s based off of). You feel heavy/bulky like a brute and not swift/agile like an assassin. I’m also not big on the gimmicky teleportation chain assassinations. I was hoping that system would put you in a fast paced animation where you’d swiftly dispatch your enemies one by one… but no… you teleport through the air like another superpowered demigod/god from Odyssey/Valhalla… I don’t mean to be that guy, because I REALLY want to like this game (and for the most part I do)! Everything else looks fantastic, a definite much needed step in the right direction. Towards the tradition that made the franchise as big as it is today! I just wish they’d drop the engine Origins-Mirage runs on, and start the gameplay from the ground up with AC Red, and AC Hexe. The day I see swift satisfying grounded movement is the day I can rest.

Actually, the parkour came from Origins not Odyssey or Valhalla. The teleportation thing is no different from choosing to give Evie Frye invisibility in Syndicate. It's not something you have to do. The Ezio trilogy parkour was fast but also clunky. Always jumping the wrong way or climbing something you didn't mean to climb and it could get stiff and slow after a while.

Never heard of a one of you but this is a nice collaboration! I just happened to look up AC Mirage and here you are, an hour ago even! The game looks fun without all the extras the last few games have had. I enjoyed all of the last 3 (Odyssey,Origins,Valhalla) and DLC's but have missed the more simple AC style. Since it was mentioned, it does seem very similar to Hitman, only more cool =) I'll check you all out for my AC tips! Cheers! Actually basim was actually one of the fastest and swift assasins in his time period and animus wasn't able to retrace basims fast movement, that's why the teleportation (read it in other videos comments section)

@stuffedcrustcinema6142 I understand your point on the teleportation, but there's another way to look at this. Basim is being literally taken over by Loki, who we all know is a mystical character. This, to me, would have been a much more accurate explanation of how the Assassin's Focus works. Just my opinion.

So I'm really hyped for this game now that I've seen real gameplay! I love how vibrant the world map looks! Baghdad is a perfect setting for this game! A few things I noticed were that we didn't get to see the pole vault in action and also exactly how is it these guards know which bird is from Basim? That's a little weird! Lol! Other than that I think this game has a lot of potential! Ubisoft please add in collectible armor sets and have one or two with shortened cloaks! That would be great!

Those teleport assassination feels like fantasy-ish style. They should make it just like the skill on valhalla where you can sprint chain assassin while slow time, similar style in the first trailer in mirage.

The explanation they gave is that Basim is very agile and fast, and that's how he's able to remain out of the sight of the guards. But I agree I don't like this 'teleportation' animation either

that’s gotta be my biggest gripe with this game. everything else looks fine but the fact it’s the same font, same animations, same prompts, and same weird assassinate button (RB/R2 for assassinate, the most annoying imo)

Why make interesting paths to take and different way to use stealth gameplay to assassinate all the people who stand in the way of your target when you can just skip the gameplay and teleport instead? Also an assassin should only kill if he needs to. He had a clear air assassination set up, but instead had to magically kill 4 more just to end up air assassinating him anyway.

@@DrMistycal where did you get that ? i never played an ubisoft game since the crew 1 too the end. i don`t even buyed one since the crew 1, the only reason i played a little origins is, it was on an discount 15 euro`s for origins and odessey, but till now i don`t even finished origins because it is not exiting enough too play, too much open world, too much too do. and the gameplay is on repeat all the time, even the stealth system i like so much is not as good as unity and the others before. and the most bad thing is the rpg system. so why i`am what you are describing again ? please explain. or do you just want too insult people because they don`t spread hate like you do ?

I got excited too, I enjoyed using it in Black Flag. I just wish there was a rope dart or grappling hook too, but I’m happy with how the game looks. Even though I’m one of the few people who enjoyed Odyssey and Valhalla

Hopefully they don't include the cinematic parkour jump cuts. . .kinda takes you out of the immersion. Or, at the very least, let you disable the cinematic jump cuts, i.e. how camera changes when using zipline or throwing smoke grenade down.

Because this is exactly what the public of Mirage (myself included) wants, the mechanics and atmosphere from the classic games, but with an updated look and feel to them. This is literally the selling point of Mirage, mentioned by Ubisoft multiple times. It's a love letter for the first AC games.

They're not a typical purist assassin Creed fan like you who whine non stop because of an Animus glitch ability (the teleportation), which btw has existed for a long time, your favorite assassin Creed aka unity literally had an ability to disguise urself as an NPC and in syndicate there's an ability by Evie where she can turn invisible, yet i find no hate on those two while this got hated?
