Here's a REAL tip for fast leveling. Headshot kills will give you the most xp outside of mission xp. Focus on upgrading your hunter damage in early game. Useful against Mecenaries and stronger npc enemies. You'll also be able to cheese higher level enemies with this method to gain lots of xp early

Shields were so heavy and expensive that they were exclusively for really rich people that had extremely much time to train their arms for the shield, their bones were actually deformed by the weight of the shield

Don’t just try to level up, try to enjoy all quests and fights you get into. You’ll regret this later in the game if you just tried to pass levels quickly

That’s the only problem I have with Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey-it doesn’t level you up as fast as it should if you’re just doing the main story. This combined with the sheer length of the story really prevents the game from being let’s-play-friendly.

For anyone who hasn’t watched this video & is just scrolling through the comments to see any pointers, NO he didn’t give any pointers he pretty much explained to play the game, do a lot of conquest battles(kill as many enemies as you can) & do any main quest, theirs no way to quickly level up, you just have to enjoy & play the game, it’s really a sandbox game, the more you play the more you level up, at first it took me forever to just get to lvl 20 but after I quickly began leveling up, MALAKA Play the game haha !!!

M9R3 yeah but having to do 20 boring side quests to level up ONCE in order to do a story mission, is pretty fucking annoying and exhausting. The only reason I came back to origins after quitting half way through is because it let me skip to max level for the dlc, and run the fun main story without having the terrible grind stop me. Basically I’m hoping odyssey will do the same thing because I’m only at level 12 right now and need to get to 15, but the side quests I AM finding (I’m having a tough time finding the side quests in the first place as well) give me barely any xp.

A few things I'm disappointed at: First, the bowplay isn't as great as it was in Origins. I feel like Kassandra draws it slower and moves like a slug at times. It's hard to get critical headshots off in real battle time as a result, especially when some enemies are shielded from the toes to the eyelids and move somewhat erratically. Bayek felt supersonic and smooth in comparison. The enemies on Origins were almost demonic in their movement, but you could compensate with Bayek's quick moves. Kassandra, or misthios, on the other hand, seems much less responsive at times. Maybe that was done on purpose? I don't know, but it sucks. The ability system is kinda nice, but compared to Origins, when you could just switch bows on the fly, you have to wait for a headshot or takedown to refill the meter, and that's annoying because as a Hunter purist it means running and hiding, setting up again, etc, to get that Captain or Commander or whatever. In short, they shouldn't have done away with the other bows, because many of the abilities are basically what the Warrior and Predator bows were. They should've just come up with new abilities and carried over the bows from Origins, and that would've made the Hunter class more rewarding. The third thing I didn't like was that the game, despite having different classes is mostly geared towards the WARRIOR. This becomes blatantly obvious when participating in your first battle. If you spec''d a Hunter/Assassin, then you're going to have trouble with a lot of these segments and you may find yourself re-appropriating your ability points a few times just to get through them. If you're on Normal though it's not much of a problem. And lastly, there are NO TOOLS (as far as I've been at least)! No smoke bombs, no sleep darts, or poison darts, etc (they've all been replaced with subpar abilities). I thought Origins had a bareboned tool system... THIS MAKES ORIGINS LOOK LIKE UNITY, I swear, lol. The Hunter class enables you to use elemental arrows, which is great, but most of the time they initiate a confrontation, even if they don't see you right away it still starts a search. With Bayek you could throw sleep darts on people, run and knock them out, then hide again. Or, you could silently poison people to death without anyone noticing. It all worked well. On Odyssey, stealth is quite a bit trickier. You don't have much choice when your stats are not geared towards the Assassin class and you're not leveled up (when infiltrating). It's either direct confrontation or it's stealth attacks, which results in blown cover, because your stats are mostly Hunter-based (if you're me), then you run, hide, and rinse & repeat. That takes up a lot of time! And that's exactly why I said the game seems to be mostly geared towards the WARRIOR class. Choosing to be a Hunter seems to yield no early game advantage at all, and that's kinda what makes it all frustrating for my experience so far. Other than those things, I've been having fun with Odyssey, for the most part. Still in the early stages, but I'm sure it can only get better from where I'm currently at.

This game encourage you to play as a warrior, doesnt matter the abilities's trees, you cant make amazingly different builds, they are more or less the same, its not a deep RPG that you can play the game one way, and then the next playtrought completly different. My recomendation, play as a warrior, i mean the character is a mercenary spartan warrior, forget about assassin or hunter style.

I mean, it's definitely possible to go stealthy, but there isn't enough accomodation for Hunters in open combat. It's much harder to use a bow then to just hack it up, which seems backwards. Anyway, I'm not daunted at all. I'm definitely going to play this one through to the end, but so far it's been a little bit of a rough opening.

I've found a problem in odyssey where the choices I make change throughout the game Eg: I told that little girl on the starting island i would be back but when I found her in Athens she said she left after I said i wasent coming back It's happend a Lot and I'm worried it could affect my ending It would really help if someone knows something about it because it could ruin the game for me

I chose not to kill a very important person after leaving Kephallonia, it's actually a massive decision. Later in the family, I realize that anyone that mentions said person ALWAYS mentions me apparently killing them. TL;DR spared an important someone and the game later on thinks I killed them EDIT: apparently this is justified in the game and I just missed it, but I'm leaving it for anyone experiencing the same thing

TL:DR: Argolas city in the hill; kick faction leader and his friends off cliff + finish off the treasure = enough faction to immediately trigger conquest. Go do conquest; rinse and repeat. Not recommended for mercs farming, most mercs resist kick.

heres a tip if ur like early game like me go to an area a few levels below u then go to one of their forts dont destroy the fort stealthly but instead do a head on assault this will increase ur bounty alot and they will send 2-3 bounty hunters back to back towards u this way u will get alot of awsome gear alot of xp and u can also trigger a conquest battle because smetimes they even send the nation leader to deal with u

That instinct you have to blow through this game in five or ten hours? Yeah. Ignore it. AC Games are meant to be played longer and Odyssey has cranked that up to eleven... teen :P Do bounties - explore EVERYTHING - take all side quests. Leveling is only a problem if you refuse to use the options and tools the devs have provided you. If you REALLY want to blow through this game - which means you'll be missing a lot of good stuff imo - you can purchase the Permanent XP boosts. That isn't worth it - again, imo - because you're LITERALLY throwing money at the screen to NOT play a game you played sixty plus dollars for... Most illogical

That's a good strategy for looting. And no, it will not affect you directly in any way. That is the wonderful flexibility that you have as a mercenary.

Mark Hettenbach on normal enemies cap at 48, on hard and nightmare enemies match and eventually outlevel you, and on easy well you shouldn't be playing on easy

Yeah the review I watched didn’t say they went all the way up, it implied that if an area was say 7 to 10, the enemies would stop scaling around 12. I won’t have my copy till Friday so I’m being kinda selective in what I watch, mostly just this guy 😁

I Got This Game Brand new for $20.00 at game stop like 3 weeks ago.Never been a assassins creed fan. ive always loved watching my friend play Black flag..Anyway . when this came out and it was all about Greece i had to get it. Now that ive been playing this one. I regret never playing any other assassins creed. This is probably going to be the best game for the next 5 years

I agree, better characters, Bayek was a better character than both Cassandra and Alexios, i find the combat in this one more choppy, evading isn't even reliable, the good stuff of black flag/rogue and origins was just made dull in this game imo. It's a big game but that's it. Ship boarding is... Well meh. The bow play isn't nearly as fun as it was in origins.

I preferred when you fought with a sword and shield, dual wielding in origins felt so rubbish and without weight, spinning around like you are having a seizure, yet most enemies in odyssey have shields. Not sure why we could not have some big spartan shield.

@@Conflict1922 I find ship boarding in this to be far better than in Black Flag. Don't get me wrong, BF was a great game, but you could tell it was running on old generation specifications when it basically had to load ship boarding like it's own level. It was buggy, combat was a mess, you had to constantly jump in and out of "combat mode" to try and ignite the damn TNT barrels and it was far too easy to get thrown off the ship or the rigging to your death. I once boarded a ship that was too close to an island that it bugged the hell out, even when running on a PS4. The engine just couldn't hack it. In Odyssey, I find it's much more fluid. Hop on, kill the enemies, take the loot, back in your ship and go. All completely seamless and not slowed down by irritating cutscenes and choosing what to do with the ship (repair Jackdaw, lower wanted level, add to fleet). The game has no silly fleet minigame and the former options are incorporated into gameplay in a much better way. I think Odyssey deals with the wanted level in a better and more interactive way than other AC games - not played Origins, maybe that's the same too, but I'm glad the days of tearing down posters and bribing town criers is gone.

I'm just having fun clearing every region I visit. Seems im gaining roughly 1 level per hour now. There is so much stuff to do, and im enjoying it more than origins in terms of clearing entire regions and side quests. Currently clearing Attika and im level 28. I could use some tips getting more wood though, I run outvof it fast everytime.

I’m really confused, I’m level 3 and the quest “fancy guest” is an eradication zone and I killed everyone there other then a mercenary who is too high a level, it still says I need to “find and kill newcomers” and I did that but does it mean I have to kill the mercenary and therefore go and get to a higher level? Someone please answer fast

I like farming/Leveling in Megaris. The Leader house, Fort and Battlefield are all less than 500m away from each other. The only bad thing is there is no Nation chest that spawns or at least there hasn't been one for me anyways but usually around 20-30 min I have a conquest battle.

My game tricked me so bad I saw a mission that said level 8 recommended so I went to the mission for the XP and the person who I was supposed to kill was level 16 and it wasn’t fair at all. Not sure if it was a glitch or something but it got me so mad I eventually won the battle but still if he hit me even once I died

How to level up fast? Unlock the 2 hour exp boost from ubiclub and in the inventory pause it. Only unpause it when you are turning in quests. Nearly doubled the exp and you can turn 2 hours into 8
