Steven Kane I had a similar reaction to the first Battlefield 1 trailers. Then came the latest single player trailer with a beautiful orchestral score. I guess they do this to make it seem...cool. Sigh.

Don't worry, the only game I've played thus far to completion is ACIV: Black Flag, though I do own AC Stories China and AC Liberation. My recommendation if the games strikes your fancy, look for the one that seems to be most interesting for you and go for that one.

@Silent Man From 1 up to Origins. Despite Origins having rp elements, it's still essentially about the birth of the Assassin's Creed. I recommend playing all except Odyssey and Valhalla because those are no longer AC anymore. The rest still are and hold factors that make them better than Odyssey and Valhalla.

Never played the game. I know a good majority of gamers will discredit the movie for numerous reasons, but from a completely different view, the movie had a great story line and was action packed! Fassbender always delivers...

Ubisoft likely has no decision on the music for the trailers. In the movie they should have some creative freedom, but as this film is the majority property of Fox, they're responsible for marketing and thus for the choice of trailer music.

No it's not. Something like chase from AC1, Unkle, or Iron would fit perfectly in this trailer. This song makes the whole thing feel like a generic action trailer instead of feeling like Assassin's Creed.

I really don't understand the critics. I love this movie. It is incredibly atmospheric and gripping. At first I expected more of the plot to take place inside the Animus but as I watched the movie I thought the story about Callum worked out perfectly the way it is. It is even more fun when you recognize so many things from the games but I watched it with a friend who didn't play the games and she also liked it. I highly recommend watching it.

The movie gave me chills from the first animus scene to the finale, the action sequences are ridiculous! Thank you 20th CF and Ubisoft for this absolutely stunning film. This is how should a videogame adaptation be. I'm sure having the original creator Ubisoft involved in the creative process made a lot of difference. I can't wait for the next one, I'm hyped for the age of pirates to come alive! ;-)

Dull and superficial conversations, uncompelling storyline, too much out of place macho bullshit, too much drama pausing, but without any drama whatsoever, no suspense, no mystery....in short, phenomenal game franchise taken away, stripped of soul, stuffed with jaw dropping cgi effects instead. Honestly, camera works and cgi effects are only honorable mentions, everything else is garbage. Or should I say, hollywood bussiness. Interesting for the first 15 minutes, and in that period you already know how everything will play out...to the last detail.

This is a good song. This is not meant to be a period piece so it doesn't need the "classical" score. I like the song, it made the trailer exciting, especially the build up to where the lyrics start.

For the game lover, the movie was epic. I had goosebumps on multiple scenes which I rarely have on multiple movies. The only down side is that "One simply does not make an assassins creed movie without a reference to the one and only Altair"

The way the animus works seems incredibly convoluted. God knows why they didn't just go with the original design.. not only more plausible but also way cheaper for the production.

It looks coller and it may have to do with the overall plot of the film, from what I've heard in this movie Abstergo is gathering and erasing all of the genetic memory from the assassin subjects so that they don't have the instincts to defend and assassinate anyone in the future. That could be the underlying evil plot of abstergo for the movie.

It's most likely to make the bleeding effect look more plausible. Having him physically act out his ancestors movements rather than just remember them seems a bit more realistic to copy them imo.

Okay I think we can all agree that the music choice is really bad, but I don't get why anyone would be bashing this movie so much. I'm actually confident it's gonne be great. Michael Fassbender is one of the best actors of our century, there seems to be no useless romance as in 99% of all other movies nowadays, Marion Cotillard represents Abstergo perfectly and the way the characters behave and move seems to be so much like in the games. The movie has all the characteristics that the games have... I'm just so so so excited!!! ❤️❤️

Tari Elensar It is too bad that it is now famous for having one story / game. It was my point, Assassins creed was at its golden point when they spent 3-4 games in renaissance italy. Then they started fast forwarding through timelines and it became really bad to be fair. They should've spent at least 2-3 games per setting to really explore it properly... As for the depiction, you may be right in terms of plot, especially that the Ezio edition is coming out, but it'd have still been cool (as long as they didn't deviate from the story #rage like the Warcraft movie) to have the movie.

I take back everything bad I said about this movie. It was a masterpiece that critics could not understand, because they were too busy judging many kid movies and romances. The audience loved this movie, because it's exactly how the first game was. The sequel will be even better. Prepare for "Empire" guys. Ubisoft are getting their tails together

I just couldn't understand the reason as to why the distributors thought releasing the movie to be a 12 would be a good idea. I mean even for a 12 you gotta admit the lack of blood is shocking. Underrated in my opinion for sure but needed a lot more focus on the past, i didn't care for that assassins whatsoever needed more screen time and more character. The best bits were in the present time for me. I give it a 6/10 if that
