Assassin's Creed games obviously are based on a fictional background, but the actual historical events are very accurate, for example, there is a video with an expert on pirate history and they said that the pirate scenes in AC4 Black Flag are 1:1 with with historical recordings of trials, word for word, if you didn't play past AC games, please be quiet, you don't know what you're talking about

It's simple, they're gonna market the hell outta COD being on GP to help move consoles. The early days of GP didn't have any consistent needle movers, now we have concrete evidence of the games that are coming. Think about this, do we really want Sony to be the only high performance console maker? Whether you game on pc, PlayStation, switch, or xbox; at some point Microsoft will get a piece of your wallet. Microsoft will go the Ubisoft+ route and put the msrp 99.99 edition in GP on Day 1

58:40 there's TONS more innovation that can be made, problem is, all the industry innovation has gone towards graphics & monetization models. I'm with Jack on this one. games used to be passion projects. PS1 & PS2 era, all these weird, unique games like Vib Ribbon, Devil Dice, Katamari Damacy, games in the Saturn era where devs made up whole languages just to add to the story & world building of games like Panzer Dragoon Saga. that innovation is gone in the AAA space. innovation is still happening in the indie, PC & mod spaces... when AI game development takes over. doing game art, music & programming with AI will remove that technical skill ceiling & people with truly innovative ideas will come to the forefront. I have so many ideas for games that haven't been done, I just don't have the technical skill to execute them. AI will mitigate that. the same thing is happening in the music space now. you heard the song "King Willonius - BBL Drizzy" made & performed by AI. the only human input was somebody wrote the lyrics. the same innovation will happen in gaming pretty soon & it will open up a whole new realm of possibilities.

I simply want to play as a Japanese man in a game based on Japan. There’s tons of Japanese men they could’ve chosen. A ex dev literally showed the original plan which was a Japanese man as the character. There’s a difference when it’s a game set in modern day vs hundreds of years ago. If it was modern day Japan whatever but the issue is the time period for me.

I can see what Smooth is saying as far as one of part of the plan not being in alignment with the other. The only thing I can say is that the only person that has said there for sure will be another console generation has been Sarah Bond and she the lowest exec on the totem pole MS makes a liar out of Phil routinely. Even that while bit “…Don’t think that dam is breaking and everything is coming”. That’s exactly what it sounds like is happening. They’ll make a liar out of Sarah Bond so much more quickly than that. Also, consider that during the ABK trial, of the little I read at some point Sony stated if the deal went through Sony would NOT give MS studios PS6 SDKs. The future of Xbox may have been made by Sony if sales are now more important than consoles for MS. They’re just trying to wait until after the holiday season to announce it.

COD in game pass is barely going to move the needle.. because the people that play that game usually only buy like one game a year so for them it's cheaper to just spend the $70 instead of constantly paying for one game monthly... Herman Hulst will take PS in the opposite direction of where it needs to go. We need more variety, in terms of genre, culture and their creative ideas. Herman Hulst will encourage PS studios to make more generic shit like Horizon and spider man. We need a CEO who understands the legacy of playstation. The home and birthplace of franchises like Crash, parappa, fat princess, Ico/SotC, Souls games etc. Less of the formulaic and homogeneous games they are known for today.

Let me start off by saying I can't wait to play as yasuke in assasins creed. The idea that nobody cared when nioh 1 had a white main protagonist is a bold faced lie. There were tons of articles about it and tons of people on Twitter bitching about it. I do think there are some racist that just don't want to see a black man in feudal Japan, but I'm not gonna sit here and call everybody racist because they wish that the characters were Japanese. Remove yourselves from that mindset and ask yourselves if they made a game set in 1619 Africa and they had a white dude as the playable character with a black female character people would be losing their shit over that. I'm sure there has to be some white person mentioned in Africa during that time period.

You dont need data for that its simple common sense why would people that own xbox buys games on the platform natively?Especially Gamepass is the main reason to own the box?Plus why gamepass even exist in the first place?Because most xbox games flopped on the xbox one.The fanbase over there dont support games

Assassin's Creed games obviously are based on a fictional background, but the actual historical events are very accurate, for example, there is a video with an expert on pirate history and they said that the pirate scenes in AC4 Black Flag are 1:1 with with historical recordings of trials, word for word, if you didn't play past AC games, please be quiet, you don't know what you're talking about 4. the "expert" in Japan history they used for AC Shadows is a woman that based her whole life's work on the study ... of "man to boy" love ... (you can look her up, this is real) and bond/jack are clowns with those comments about japanese people liking black people, that is the definition of fiction lol, go to Japan and find out tho, be my guest
