Man, I thought I got to play as someone like Hattori Hanzo-sama, Akechi-sama or even maybe Nobuyasu-sama who had entire stories written about there legendary deeds as Samurais in the Civil War but instead, its Yasuke who at most, had one paragraph about him. I don't know what to feel about this.

Players: Could we play as Miyamoto Musashi? Ubisoft: Best we can do is you play as a generic Asian girl or Yasuke.

This looks good. I do however hope they give the option for it it be in Japanese with English subtitles. I found that added massively to the experience in Ghost of Tsushima

The black guy that kids are calling " the first black samurai " was NOT a samurai. Only lived there for 3 years and was just kept as a retainer by the actual samurais. He fought on one village atack and surrendered. I feel sorry for asian guys wanting to see themselves represented too just to be race swapped. This is such an insult ffs.

*Would be a cool game if* *Ghost of Tsushima* *hadn't already been made.* . People were asking for a Japanese themed Assassin's Creed for a very long time and Ubisoft ignored them. Also there was a famous black Samurai but he worked alone and he was incredibly skilled. He wasn't a ninja. Ninjas are historical too but they were often Samurai and Ronin who made bases and training areas in the mountains then would asassinate powerful lords and leaders through Japan. Karate is fairly effective when used wisely but pushing people around who have powerful weapons like naginata (sword spears) will get you killed especially when you don't have any weapon to parry. Kendo showed how to use every day items like a tonfa (mill turner) as weapons that common people had acess to. The people who made this shadows game don't understand or respect Japanese history & martial arts.

I don't have a problem with Yasuke but at the same time, c'mon man. Asians can't be the heroes of our own stories? Especially Asian dudes, we can't catch a break haha. This is like when white dude Jayden Shiba was the red ranger for Power Rangers SAMURAI. Japanese surname and everything. Personal feelings aside, if the game is good and the story is solid, I'll play it. Like I said, I don't have a problem with Yasuke.

"Yasuke, the powerful African samurai of historical legend"? Come on now. The guy was 1) A servant/valet 2) Spoke very little Japanese 3) Spent only 3 years in Japan. I get that this is a fake story but it almost feels disrespectful to the Japanese to inflate Yasuke's significance like that.
