Light the braziers in the sign of the cross. In the second puzzle you need to hit the plates in the correct order - 3,1,2,4 and do it quickly. I accidently started Dead Kings when I fast travelled to it's location on sequence 6. I don't regret it. I found it pretty fun, although a bit annoying at times. I got the Guillotine weapon which is very useful and a bunch of money to help me buy the right gear for the rest of the game. It took me almost an entire night to complete it, but here I am.

Same! And then i couldn't quit the king missions after. These missions are the prologue. So it shouldn't be available until after you complete the game! I don't know why we have early access to these missions. Really annoyed there's no way to back out. So I just continued 😤

@@TrashCanBoiBoi The problem is that Dead Kings is Sequence 13. It's connected to the main story, as an aftermath to the campaign. Therefore completing it early reveals spoilers which ruins the story overall. It's best to avoid Dead Kings until after you complete the full game. Unless you just want to unlock the Legendary Sword: Eagle of Suger from completing the side missions. That's fine to do early 🙂

I know it's 4 years after but I figured the puzzle out and it took me a while. The order is based on a apocalipse chapter in Bible the 4 horsemen. This one is really hard and ubisoft expected us to know this without any hint.

@cyborgGerbil The clue is repeated symbols my friend. No Bible knowledge required. I don't even know how the order 4, 2, 1, 3 relate to horsemen xD You just pick signs that share symbol. You must begin with either of the symbols that include 1 symbol because only then you are able to match all four. So let's say you have a set of signs 1. B C / 2. A B / 3. C / 4. A If you decide to start with alone A, (sign 4) you look for sign that include A so that is A B (sign 2). No other A around so you look for repeated B. That is B C (sign 1) and repeated C is sign 3. Therefore order 4, 2, 1, 3

@@nickelcadmium1401 yes because both orders follow the same rule you either follow 4,2,1,3 or choose the other lone symbol as starting point and go 3,1,2,4 :)

I just did it in order of the symbols. The 3rd one is a half circle with nothing in front of it (if you're "Reading" it left to right), then I picked the one with the half circle facing the other way (with a rectangle on the right), then the next rectangle with the triangle on the right, then the other triangle. I didn't think it was too hard

How to make a frustrating puzzle: 1. Change the camera view completely from the main game so that anyone who's got used to your already poor system has to readjust. 2. Make sure the Interact prompt only works some of the time when you approach the element 3. Throw in a timer so that there is practically no room for error 4. Ensure there is very poor feedback to let you know that it was the timer that stopped the puzzle working 5...profit? Congratulations, you can now design puzzle for Assassins Creed!

It makes sense in another way too, the symbols. Imagine it moving to the left. Lone D moves from right to left, then I is introduced, then I moves left, then P is introduced, then P moves left. That's how I managed to solve it. So it makes sense. A bit cryptic though, I felt like I was doing an IQ test.
