Résumé de l'assemblage d'une "BIGBOY" ASTER (1ère version) fonctionnant à la vapeur vive (live steam). Cet assemblage a duré environ 15 jours à un rythme assez lent. Une bonne vingtaine de rectifications mécaniques mineures, notamment des filetages et des taraudages à rectifier, ainsi que quelques ajustages manuels. C'est la version "gaz" qui fut réalisée pour une prise en main de la machine avant la modification finale en version "chauffe charbon". Premier roulage le 9 décembre 2012 à l'occasion du Festival vapeur Gilles BARRET à Erceville (Loiret-France).

Je cherchais les dessins du “ Big Boy " et par hasard je suis tombé sur ce tutoriel très intéressant. Dommage que le kit de montage ne soit plus vendu. Je me demandais s'il était possible d'avoir les plans d'assemblage de ce modèle, je pense qu'en obtenant les mesures et en les passant en "cad" on pourrait reproduire les différentes pièces.
