While I do love Max, I highly recommend looking at Lythero. He has an excellent Phoenix Wright tutorial on his channel. It's also worth noting that the combo shown is significantly harder than it needs to be. The "Justice Loop" is a much more efficient combo, killing any enemy character with one bar of hyper and Turnabout Mode

Slower, but arguably one of the best characters in the entire game. Also I like how he can get an assist from Maya or Missile (The Dog)

If Pheonix wright gets into smash bros, he should totally have the same or similar mechanic to this one. But maybe change the hit boxes or something

I think that it is awesome that a character who aren't a fighter come in a fighting game. It's a challange for the game-developer to make such a character into a fighter. That's why, I like to use Phoenix Wright even not because I am a fan of Ace Attorney! ;) *"OBJECTION!", TAKE THAT!, HOLT IT!* A lawyer defeated god(Galactus) and superheroes and villians! =D

Phoenix Wright seems a little tricky to get a hold of at first, but seems to be well worth it in the end. Plus he's my childhood sooo this was a treat to watch ^^

Ahh the good old days. Thanks for bringing me into the FGC Max. I probably wouldn't have gotten as into MvC3 as I did if it weren't for the Assist Me series.

Iron Fist uses the One Inch Punch? I like this character! And watching the video, it's obvious he's widely based on Bruce Lee.

On a sidenote, I prefer Press the Witness as my assist, because the rest of my main composition (Morrigan and Ghost Rider) contribute greatly from this in the middle of combos. And Get 'Em, Missile! gains no bonus if Nick is in Turnabout, while his other two become Paperwork Storm and Break the Witness.

12 years on and this video series is still as entertaining as it was when it first released.

Actually Max, Phoenix can use missle as a regular attack. If you are close enough to the opponant, phoenix can do an attack where he will step out of the way going "Missle?!" And missle will charge at the enemy. This video helped me learn how to play as Phoenix effectively. Thank you for your help! ^^

I'm in investigation mode, and it still won't work. This is happening with a lot of the moves he can do. I just want to know what I'm doing wrong.

I don't know if anyone has noted this before, But Phoenix Wright's "Maya sliding" special does a different knockdown depending on whether it is medium or heavy. Medium does a heavy knockdown and Heavy makes the opponent spin in the air for a bit.

You forgot to include that Press the Witness assist in Turnabout mode becomes probably the best assist in the game. Think Haggar's vanilla assist, but it doesn't use red health, has more horizontal reach and causes a wall bounce. It's freakin scary.

yes, You can spam the loop, if you memorize the movements muscle memory kicks in. And you can't hit with a log trap or a hidden missle if you are in the corner getting pummeled by zero.

I love that Wright is a Technical Character instead of an easy to pick up meat head, makes winning with him more rewarding :)

@Gamdeng2 1. no, you can't unless you hit them with objection and it makes them dizzy. 2. when he's in turnabout mode and you switch him, all his assists are invincible 3. i think you can right when the hammer hits and the characters go flying 4. you can't counter his level 3, it's a 0 frame move but still blockable. meaning if you were doing something other than blocking when he does it, you have no time to do anything before he catches you

I was watching thuis for phoenix Wright, but after i saw the Iron Fist tutorial and practicing a little, i am now in the way to leran iron fist.

You know what I find funny? In the video where Max first talked about Iron Fist, he speculated that Iron Fist being a "Slow but heavy hitter" sort of character yet in this video he finds himself saying "He can move in the blink of an eye".

when I play trials an tribulations I find it funny how people still sometimes refer to Phoenix as a rookie even though he solves cases that baffle the like of the police force, the judge, Miles, and Franziska.

no that's not what i'm talking about. He has two moves he questionably asks the name. There is "m-Maya?" and his throw. As someone explained to me, missle is the throw for phoenix wright (is also one of his assist moves "get em missle"). He also can use maya with down-to-forward and attack button where he studders out maya's name...
