This short film beautifully illustrates the movement back to locally-grown cut flowers now gaining strength across the United States. With visits to members' farms, and interviews with farmers, buyers, florists, and our own researcher John Dole, it clearly demonstrates the benefits of local over imported flowers.

I'm so inspired I been wanting to be an florist since I was a teenager around 13yrs. Old now I'm grown 56 years Young now working part time at a florist desperately wanting to open my florist this video was so inspiring thank you for sharing.

I lost my flower shop due to a combination of needing a long put off shoulder surgery and also not earning a profit due to wire services low balling product. If I could start a farm and be a provider of local flowers maybe my future could change for the better. I would love to do weddings from my very own fields. I always had a problem with the industry knowing that some poor Ecuadorian woman was having miscarriages due to pesticide exposure. I would like to be part of the solution, not the problem. What a joy it would be to produce ethical and sustainable beauty!

Flower Bin you can all over as a hobby not thinking of profit in that way without knowing you create your hobby into profit slowly if there people like to buy your flowers as hobby and then turn into small business as hobby at the same time you sell if there any people would like to and grow veggies too as side hobby , fruits too if you area are cold climates , thank you

Growers must work together and be a unified HUMAN SOCIETY. Our enemies are fcuk real and have always only needed to make us fight each other to maintain their control. Flowers from abroad are of different kinds than locally grown because different flowers require different climates
