I lived in Astana/Nur-Sultan for two years. I loved every second of it! Great modern apartment, well-stocked grocery stores, huge malls, excellent restaurants, lovely ballet and opera, wonderful hotels to stage events, have wonderful restaurants and spas. It's designed to make the winter a pleasure! Very easy to travel to neighboring countries, Europe, Asia with Air Astana.

A few years ago I lived in Astana and worked on a project to build the American Embassy. Even then Astana was a modern and very interesting city. My apartment was in the old part of the city but there were still modern conveniences. There is a large Asian influence and the girls are beautiful. Most of the local employees that I worked with were very intelligent and all spoke three or four languages in addition to English. The Astana of today has grown extensively into the modern metropolis that it is at present. Maybe I will return there someday.

@@SonyaUsmanova2020 Kazakhstan is a large country in Central Asia. Its main ethnic groups are Kazakh, at 65% of the country, and Russian, at 21%. Kazakhs are a Turkic ethnic group and were once horse-riding nomads, related to the Mongols of the pre-modern era. So, you are not all Asians.

I've lived here for 10 year now ..the people are incredibly hospitable and nice , it's one of the fastest growing capitals in the world and opened to business and lots more ... I can't say enough about this city!!

Моя любимая Астана, несмотря на все её недостатки. Мы с родителями переехали в Астану когда мне было 7 лет, выросла здесь. Было очень тяжко, но мы все выдержали. Многие из знакомых и родственников не выдержали жизни в суровом городе, в 2000х вообще сложно было, и многие уехали тогда. Сейчас у меня уже своя семья, дочка моя родилась здесь, она уже коренная астанчанка❤

Я больше 15 лет жила в Астане и на моих глазах застраивался левый берег, но начала ценить город в котором жила только после переезда в другой, пришлось переехать по работе. там действительно много парков, скверов, набережная, много где можно погулять, устроить пикник, в каждый выходной можно выбрать разные места, свежий воздух.

Astana, especially Kazakhstan is developing very fast. Learning of English is increasing so fast that some children from villages speak and understand English.And it's all in about 20 years👍👍👍👍👍👍

You will hear people in the USA place emphasis on 'stan' as a disparaging way to put down countries as inferior or as "s--t holes". This place looks absolutely amazing and light years ahead of MANY places I have lived in the USA, not to mention the terrible vibe experienced in so much of the USA as well.
