A day of steam engines with Accucraft and Aster locomotives and some beautiful new David Leech Union Pacific coaches. A special note to Pinchiroli Luciano who makes those tiny live steam electric generators to make the lights nice and bright on the steam locomotives.

Challenger looks impressive in the grey making lots of steam with a bit of a steam turbo whine.

Yes it is impressive in its passenger colors with those David Leech passenger grey coaches. Some like the yellow livery more but these are very classy. Hearing that little electric generator turbine whine, live, is also impressive. The locomotive has two rows of four wick burners so it has a good fire in its large firebox for making steam. Fantastic consist. I can't believe that tiny steam generator can keep all those light light that bright. Thanks for the video. I had the chance to ride on a passenger service in the US last week (for the first time). Nowhere as fabulous as this train :)

Sadly North American passenger service is not up to the standards of the rest of the world. There is a very car "driven" mentality. Thanks for the comments on the video. lOOKS A GOOD DAYS STEAMING. THE CHALLENGER CERTAINLY MAKES MORE THAN ENOUGH STEAM.

Excellent video Peter with super close up shots, well what can i say a steam gen in gauge one scale !! the steam and lights as it emerges from the tunnell looked so realistic, liked it all the locomotives track and of course the superb coaches built by the master himself , regards Graham

Live steam is another fun facet of the hobby. I am happy to say I still enjoy an electric unit now and then...just for the shock value ( LOL )
