Imagine the convo between Aston execs and Adrian Newey- one of the greatest aerodynamicists of all time: Newey- I’ve made the most perfect aerodynamic road car of all time. All the benefits of an F1, one of the drawbacks. Aston- so awesome. Now take off the roof.

Think the conversation was more likely: “This project is delayed, massively overspent and we need money to finish it. We can’t ask the customers for anymore” “Let’s hack the roof off, make a spider and get more customer deposits in. These deposits will pay for the rest of the development”

Don't forget there are dozens of wealthy people paying 7-figure sums to Ferrari for cars they can't even keep at home and only get to use on the circuit. I'm sure a few Valkyrie buyers will take them to the track.

Pretty sure adding development time and molds and engineering to to make 80 more cars isn’t helping margins. Maybe ordering a few more of the engines from Cosworth will help drive down the cost per unit on those though.

I just wonder how do you close it when you are inside the car? No handles / loops visible, so fingerprints on shiny piece, if you manage to reach the edge of open roof? :-)

I suppose you can't exactly lower the side windows, considering there's no door for the window to roll _into?_ I'm guessing if you wanted to ride without them you somehow dismount them similarly to how you dismount the roof?

I think that the Valkyrie Spider is the most beautiful automobile ever to come out of Great Britain - yes, more luscious than an XKE, cooler than a Rolls-Royce, drives the wheels off a Bentley, less practical than a Land Rover, turn more heads than a XJ220 - absolutely stunning performance and looks - possibly the absolute best design of a road legal fighter jet as Adrian Newey or Gordon Murray or Ian Callum for that matter could ever breathe life into! 🏎️🏁🏆🍾❤️😎

I think this would be the one I would get and I’m not normally a spyder person. But the only thing I wish was that they did like koenigsegg you can take the roof off and stow it it’s nice to at least have it if the weather so changes you know that’s my only gripe but I love the car and I would get one in the British racing green not this green. And maybe the ram interior to break up the color a bit. And oh yes the bronze honeycomb wheels not those ones. 😊😊😊😊
