its a class looking car, sophisticated not hung up to be radically modern. only those who understand design and style evolution and not hook up by trend can appreciate its design. it brings all the classic sports car highlights towards the modern world and further with its looks, paint and leather interior feel, all major ingredience since early astons. i want one NOW

hey aston your missing one, come to massachusetts for pot hole and shock absorbing work! if it can handle here and still be comfortable it can pull it off anywhere.

OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH i think this is my new favorite car! I like it better then my previous favorite the DBS
@samc1234512 жыл бұрын
i completely agree. i even emailed aston themselves saying something along the lines of "i've been on your website, done tonnes of research but i cant see the difference" db9 is meant to be the comfy one, dbs is meant to to be the fast one (but not now because of this vanquish), virage is the middle one. vantage is the baby one, (but not now because of the v12...) the one77 and zagato are special ones, those are easy to understand, and the cygnet is the toyota they sell to help their co2 targets

Ace car, well done.

That's a valid point I guess, although I seriously doubt the majority of the owners or potential buyers will care very much about sharing a platform, if they are aware of it in the first place. I think stepping up in the product range in itself is a far more decisive factor. You know, showing your friends you're doing even better than before.

AM has the Vantage, DB9 and Rapide in different guises to choose from and a 4x4 is being planned under the Lagonda name. I'm not even counting the Cygnet. How is that different from the Porsche approach? Why wouldn't a Vantage driver upgrade to, let's say, a Virage?
@CornishCarSpotter11 жыл бұрын
yes. i work for a main bmw dealership. last tuesday we had a delevery of 1.2,3 series and a demo M6 when unloading them i was thinking about how alike they are. i remember a while ago when i first started there they each had there own charistics. now they seem to be copying one another

@TheJoeMB12 жыл бұрын
I think you will be able to get most out of the car and enjoy it more than an F12 or Aventador. I have a feeling it will be more satisfying overall. It had also better be cheaper too.

Why is the recent Aston Martin reviews riding shotgun? The One-77 was also reviewed by riding shotgun...

@CJM44.4112 жыл бұрын
it seems like you need plenty of other cars in the garage to fully appriciate this cars potential. If I had that money Id buy a 458 but for an all around GT car, this is almost impossible to beat unless all you care about are numbers.
@AzNgiftedkid12 жыл бұрын
Its an Aston Martin, therefore a piece of automotive art. That's why people will want to buy it.

The positive version of that would be: "Aston knows like no other how to balance luxury and sport"
@pizzapingvin11 жыл бұрын
Anyone who doesnt just blindly "love" one brand no matter what would agree. They look IMO even too much alike. They look good but are difficult to distinguish unless youre are very familiar with each models. There is more and more of this each year in the car industry.
@daun51312 жыл бұрын
Fresh!
@Gundrs11 жыл бұрын
But does it become invisible?
@Pietervdv12 жыл бұрын
That's an interesting view actually. I think a car with a steady look for a longer period of time will depreciate slower than a car from a brand that changes their models radically every few years. Example: Ferrari 430 and the Enzo are outdated by the 458.

@carig12112 жыл бұрын
fantastic car, but there is a clear lack of major inovations in style and motoring ("only" 573 hp), the one-77 could have inspired them more...
@MyBottletree12 жыл бұрын
I'm into cars, I mean I'm really interested, and usually I can tell different cars pretty well, but can someone tell me why Aston Martin has almost nothing but the same looking cars in their catalogue?

@theslimeylimey12 жыл бұрын
Isn't it pretty obvious that this was a ride along not a test drive? What could Steve get out of this sitting in the passenger seat?
@acruzp12 жыл бұрын
I was head first into the One-77 even before they launched it. Just a I knew about the Huayra before they launched it, and the Aventador, and the McLaren P1, and this Vanquish... and nearly every sports car, super car or (yes) hyper car the car world has been expecting. You're a kid. The One-77 doesn't compete. It wasn't meant to compete. It was supposed to be the ultimate Aston, not a marketing stunt. And Aston Martins are super tourers, they're nothing like Bentley.
@arcadyt12 жыл бұрын
why whisper towards the end?
@Pietervdv12 жыл бұрын
They're not in the same market as the McLaren or Pagani. Excellence isn't measured by outright performance, unless that's your goal. I think Aston is trying to be the best grand tourer with a basic design and a few varieties to choose from, depending on whether you're more sports or comfort minded.
@peanuts210511 жыл бұрын
Aston Martin has done the right thing by NOT doing the power race that every manufacture is doing; Mercedes, BMW, Lamborghini etc. I have driven a 530bhp Jaguar XKR-75 and believe me, that is shit fast. Anything more than 600bhp is just nuts and quite frankly not usable. Yes power is massive part of the equation but its not the be all and end all. Its about handling, style and grace. Aston has plenty of those. So well done for such a small company of highly talented individuals.
@CornishCarSpotter11 жыл бұрын
i wasnt saying all cars look the same.. was just saying that the range of cars that aston martin offer look identical. im not trying to start an argument btw.. but its just my opinion on the matter..

Nice car, shame it was so dreary to watch. No need for fancy words, just passion and enthusiasm will do. Was the Aston engineer standing nearby when you were summarizing at the end or was the conclusion a secret?
