Would need time to settle but at the right price, he could be a good fit. Lots of experience, lots of potential but fairly confident Villa could unlock that. Diaby had a far better first season than bailey even doh probably most villains expected more of him last season but IMO I though Diaby was excellent in the last few games especially Liverpool at home he was picking the ball up more centrally coming in from right and running direct. Was disappointed when he supposedly turned us down as a non Champions League club. We can offer him that now, but I kinda feel like he made his decision already that we aren't the club for him. Villa won't pay his mega wages I believe, apparently he's on £250.000 pw with his Athletico Madrid contract & he'd be expensive too buy or loan & a massive risk eating up a large amount of our transfer budget for this summer,I really don't see this one happening & having turned us down before it would feel like he's only coming cos he doesn't have another better option than Villa. I like the player,but this deal has many negative aspects as well,I think we need other options &'we can't have Felix &'add the remaining players we need. He would probably cost at least £50-60 million & Chelsea paid £9 million for a season long loan which is what Morgan Rogers cost too buy,if we could get 3×£30 million players if Duran leaves it would strengthen us with the likes of Baena,Bieier etc.....up the mighty Villa!!!! 😊

With the Coutinho issue, I think the board have a plan as they've given up on contract termination. I think they may be fairly close to acquiring Vasco. They may loan him with us paying some of his wage then when they buy Vasco Pump capital in and buy him, paying Villa a fee that more than covers the extra wages paid and helps qith PSR next season. It will also excite Vasco fans for their new owners, especially if he's done well in his loan period. Just a thought.
