A Geordie Villa fanatic since 91 (I was 9 - later realising being born in 82 was so apt for a true Villan, Spinksy, Shaw, Withe love yas) its amazing for someone who has shed tears of dispair over things like a Danny Graham 90min Swansea equaliser a few year back, broke down over many slim 1-0 defeats like Torres 85th min Liverpool on a night at VP, and ive celebrated like ive won the lottery at things such as a Barry 90min pen to draw 4-4 at the bridge or a Robbie Keane double to win 3-2 at a lowly Wolves, that its amazing I didnt have a complete break down after last years play off final. I done such a job on myself saying I like the championship, I like winning a few games, which is true but honestly lads I could not of handled not doing it this year. I always wanted to go back up either storming it with 100 pts or thru play offs, after last year I wanted to win it only one way, I remember being so jealous at teams like Fulham then, storming the last few months in awesome form thinking we could never do that. Well we bettered it. What a way to go up. 10 wins in a row, then Leeds away, then 1 down to Albion, then pens, then conceding a late on to derby, then 7 mins inj time...but we survived it all, and in style! Then we buy in a record deal a young brazilian striker, wow man. Anwar is back and Hause, get Butland & Mings at all cost. Try for Axel. Have a go for another decent striker, Austin will do but maybe better. A hard man midfielder to back up Jack, McGinn & Connor, a couple more and u know what, we'll be ok. And for once I actually mean it. Peace out, Soz to go on and on but u understand, it's our Villa. UTV. VTID.

I don’t think any of the positives that happened in the following years would have happened at all if we had beaten Fulham. It was a blessing in disguise. We probably would have been stuck with Bruce even longer.

This is bullshit and not how the season went. We were 13th in the table with 13 or so games left. We had no chance of promotion of reaching the playoffs, needing a miracle. Grealish came back from injury and turned our season around. Him, Mings, Mcginn were superb. We scraped past West Brom and thankfully Leeds lost their match.
