#Astore_valley is a gateway to Minimarg and Deosai national Park. With Pakistan's 2nd tallest peak (Nanga Parbat), the valley witness its unicity in a distinctive way.
3 hrs journey from Astore to Chilam is beautiful and eye catching, peaceful environment everywhere. Lush green fields and mountains during My, June, July and August and after the month of August, greenery starts converting into yellow crops of wheat and auburn reddish color of mountains after Chilam near Deosai and Burzil pass.

Great views Ma Sha ALLAH.. One can only say Subhan ALLAH...But dear one extremely important point...you said in the beginning that it took 7 hrs and we stopped 2-3 times and (of course) for tea...being Alhamdulillah Muslims, we offer Namaz which is compulsory, and I hope you ppl must have offered Namaz along the way. But my point or request is that we should mention Namaz first (plus other reasons next) for stopping during travel as targheeb for travellers. It will be greatly rewarding for you and all In Sha ALLAH. Another request is to avoid music as much as possible. Jazak ALLAH Khair brothers.

yes, you're very right. we offered Namaz but we should mention this as reason to stop but not playing the songs is not really in my control because we travel in a group usually and you know everyone has his own choice. but your suggestion is more than welcome. and yes at every turn, SubhanAllah is the biggest word deserved by the beauty of Pakistan

deosai se jeep ni milti. Jeep Astore ya skardu se milegi. or kisi bhi side se jayen bat ek he hai. Gilgit skardu road shayad under construction.

Can you please share some information about booking at PWD Chilam? Also are there any other hotels at Chilam?

you need to have some referral of local govt official. We did it thru DC Astor. There are no other hotels but if you manage to arrive Chilam by 3pm, you can go to deosai (30 min drive from chilam) and rent out a camp at sheosar lake. That's the best option to me

Remember, they won't allow you to move beyond Chilam after 4 pm. It would be difficult.

@@TravelDiariesPakistan Thanks. In 2019 I booked stay in Astore and Minimarg Mess through a close relative in Army but could not make it due to snow fall in June. I am planning it again IA, so in case I book it through Army reference directly then do I still need that letter from DC office or it is not needed in that case?

Ji bilkul ja sakti hai Chilam se aagay deosai tak. chilam se aagay Minimarg ki traf janay k liye jeep chaye or deosai se aagay skardu tak car ja sakti hai magar jeep ho tau behter hai
