@@bazzfromthebackground3696 Yeah Doom has the same problem as well, But the thanos storylines written by Jim starlin have always been the same plot with different artifacts, Only character's that are relevant is Adam warlock thanos and MAYBE a few other's like Eros, the rest are fodder and are guaranteed to get killed off or defeated by Thanos, Its the same thing over and over again.

Alot of the time it was Starlin undoing what writers had done to Thanos as a character in other series, its kinda why Infinity Abyss exists wheras he needs a reality warping item that effectively makes previous versions of Thanos moot, which I can understand as he definitely had an arc he was going with with the character and besides Ron Marz and Keith Giffen no one really stuck with that development. That being Marvel:The End and his two Infinity Trilogies of past Secret wars 2015 really play down on this trope, which is unfortunate because I actually like when Starlin wrote Thanos as s character that had an arc and in this instance and the other trilogy before, its more about him trying to get the reins back on the character, to be fair though alot of writers have turned Thanos into a mindless brute that seems to enjoy violence and conquering that is obsessed with Death, wheras Starlin's Thanos doesn't care about ruling, he wants raw tangible cosmic power and isn't a person who enjoys being a space Jeffery Dahmer like he is portrayed now. After Infinity War he even pushes away Death after helping Adam Warlock out and weighs his obsession with death over a rivalry with Warlock and tells her to hit the road. I really like honestly when Keith Giffen was writing Thanos as a villain seeking redemption and unfortunately since then, besides Hickmans use of Thanos and Abnett and Lanning I haven't been impressed with how he has developed even by Donny Cates.

Agreed it was a very poor storyline in my opinion and something we've seen far too many times, Thanos becomes God and beats everyone then somehow loses because of his self doubt, It got old a long time ago.
