Team Asobi was so silent since Japan Studio closed. All this time they're just cooking up this PlayStation mascot franchise solely for nostalgia factor cuz the creative freedom of reviving an old IPs are no longer there. Sony has a lot of restrictions today compared to back then.

I fell in love with AstroBot when I played Astros Playroom on my PS5. It is not only a really good tech demo what the console and specially the controller can do, it is an amazing love letter to the entire Playstation franchise. I remember stepping into the first portal that leads to one of the levels and I was about to pick up my phone because I expected a loading screen but I was instantly in the level.

This game needs to do huge huge numbers bescuse this needs to be a wake up call for them i want PlayStation to return to games like Sly Cooper, jak and Dexter, rachet etc and other old IPS they own !

From the beginning I thought Astrobot should absolutely have a full game and I can't believe it's taken Sony this long to release it. And the best part is they thought Concord was the next big thing but people are seeing Astro bot as that instead for good reason. It's like in the Eisner days of Disney when he thought Pochantas would be their next big seller and assigned all the best people to it while the "B Team" got Lion King. And then curb stomped Pochantas so hard in response.

Astrobot as a concept is fanfuckingtastic. I watched a friend play the first game and I gotta say it's really sad that this is the game we got that does so many cool things instead of a mainstream title.

I never preorder, but with Astrobot I’m making an exception. Astrobot was the first game I played with my PS5 and it was great. I want more and I bet huge numbers will feel the same.

With how saturated the market has been with cinematic games, it is so refreshing to get a mascot platformer. I loved seeing Ico and SOTC represented in the trailer and really want Sora or at least a KH reference in the game.

This is a really welcome callback to the good ol' PS2 era types of games. Don't get me wrong, I love me some epic cinematic games and realistic graphics, but this is the kind of sh I grew up with and what video games were made for.

I'm excited not only that Sony is doing this but also that there's been such a positive reaction from people. But I also can't help but wonder where all this enthusiasm was when Sony released the Sackboy 3D platformer.

I hope they make it choose your own path like Mario galaxy where you get to choose what level that you want to play

I am so excited for a new Astro Bot!!! I replay the PS5 game all the time and even my brother has told me that he goes back and replays it often, and we both have a very different taste is video games. This is very exciting news.

Here's some ideas I've had for awhile, probably better off saving for the next AstroBot game though. I think it would be cool if the next AstroBot game had certain levels based off of iconic places from PlayStation IP's, like Empire City from Infamous, the Streets of Yharnam from Bloodborne, Tsushima from Ghost of Tsushima, Blackwood Mountain from Until Dawn, Metropolis from Ratchet & Clank, Venice from Sly Cooper, Sandover Village from Jak & Daxter, Gallowmere from MediEvil or Craftworld from Sackboy/LittleBigPlanet. Certain levels will have their own gimmick befitting of that level, for example; a Side-Scrolling level based on Empire City from Infamous where you traverse the rooftops and ride on wires while being shot at by AstroBotified Reapers, First Sons & Ice Conduits, the level concludes with a fight against an AstroBotified Kessler or The Beast. Maybe the Streets of Yharnam level could have Astro play with the Bloodborne mechanics and there's even 3 AstroBotified Bloodborne Bosses you have to defeat in order to complete the level, obviously the bosses will be toned down. Another level could be based on an iconic location from the The Last of Us even have it play like The Last of Us where you play it like a Third-Person Shooter and can scavenge for supplies to craft weapons, then the level caps off with a boss fight with an AstroBotified Bloater. Maybe there could be two versions of every one of these types of levels based on these PlayStation series location, one that plays like your typical platformer variant of that level it borrows influence from, and a seperate level that plays a bit more like the level it's based on, giving additional variety to the traditional platformer gameplay.

Astro bot looks hype! Never knew about the vr game but the demo astro playroom was awesome to test the new controller and no other game has used the controller like that game so it's hopefully gonna be just as unique as well!!

I liked Astro's playroom and I'm excited to play Astrobot, but don't act like this is the only platformer on PS5 made by Sony and everything else has been gritty and realistic and that Nintendo is the only one making platformers because that's false. Didn't you play Sackboy's big Adventure and Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart? The PS5 has platformers too, not just Nintendo. Heck, I have yet to see Xbox making their own platformer yet.

Is it too much to ask that I want Astro Bot to be PlayStation's Kingdom Hearts minus the spaghetti lore? With the embarrassing showcase that was Concord, I think people are focusing more on the little fella than ever, and without the limits of VR, people are willing to give this franchise a try. Even if I never cared about the focus to narrative focused experiences, something like this can shake things up while other devs focus on the triple A games PlayStation wants, dare I say, I want more games like Astro Bot. People have been asking for years for the return of X franchise, but like, I want new PlayStation platforming series too, and not just platformers even, more experimental abstract games like Gravity Rush are always a blessing. Now, if people are just using this series as a bullet against those "generic movie games" and not vote with your goddamn wallet, you're part of the reason why PlayStation focuses on those nowadays. If you want this publisher to be more varied, then follow up on your promise, buy this game and talk about it, word of mouth is more powerful than you think, don't just say how great it WAS when the appreciation wasn't there when it needed it most.

Not having KH in this game would be downright stupid. Not just because of popularity, but also since KH (1 in particular) is a platformer at heart (lol, see what I did there?). Platformers have been all but abandoned outside of the indie space. I still like them though, unlike the live service trend we are seeing these days which sucks.

I genuinely think it's more important for Astro Bot to succeed than any other PS5 exclusive in the entire lifespan of the console so far so that Sony actually gets the message of what people want, as well as just crawling themselves out of their financial issues that they literally created for themselves by hyperfocusing exclusively on cinematic, phototrealistic, AAA, walking simulators. (Not to dunk on God of War and Spider-Man or anything) People wanna play actual games with heatt and soul. I don't care how many skin pores I can see in a reflection of a reflection, of a reflection. I want to play a game thats selling point is that it is FUN TO PLAY, and I want to play platformers that aren't Mario. I want to play Jak and Daxter. I want to play Sly Cooper. I want to play Rachet and Clank. And though it's not up to them, I want to play Spyro.

I'm sorry but Concord is just another FPS, GaaS, game. Which there is already plenty of. Granted, Sony needs a good FPS game. But NOT a GaaS one! Just give us Kill Zone or whatever other FPS, single player game they have laying somewhere that people really want. That's the only thing we ask. And keep doing your regular good single player game instead of looking at another Fortnite. I know you want to go after the big money which is logical for a company. Astro Bot is indeed important for a lot of factors, not only gives hope for a lot of other mascot platformers franchises lost on Sony's radar (like Jak & Daxter, Sly and MOST IMPORTANTLY Ape Escape) but also raise the bar for Nintendo, and hopefully Microsoft one day with Crash, Spyro and Banjo-Kazooie, to respond to this. KZfaqr hyperbole is so exaggerating. I love Astro Bot. I think it's the best thing to come outof the Playstation platform since Wipeout or Tekken. But, lets be honest this game like the others in the franchise won't be a game changer in terms of sales or brand recognition. It will get released it will sell decently but not amazing and everyone will move on. This game is not as important for Playstations as God of War, the Horizon series or Last of Us
