For newbies I recommend changing the shock absorbers if needed. They are simple to change and rather inexpensive.

Thanks for the video, it saves me having to get under my van to be sure I don't miss ordering any parts. Everything in it's steering is worn which adds up to a lot of play in the steering wheel. BTW, it's pronounced STAYbilizer, not STABilizer.

A metal piece fell off in the driver side front and now the car shakes terribly when I hit the breakes

Do a visual inspection on the brake components. Maybe one of the caliper bolts fell off. See if anything is loose.
