A Soyuz capsule carrying two Russians and one American landed in Kazakhstan on Thursday, ending the astronauts' nearly six months aboard the International Space Station. The capsule carried Russians Alexander Samokutayev and Elena Serova and NASA's Barry Wilmore, who blasted off for the space station on Sept. 26.The capsule landed upright in heavy fog southeast of the town of Dzhezkazgan on the Kazakh steppes. Despite the poor visibility, recovery workers arrived within several minutes and all three astronauts were extracted within a half-hour.They were taken to recliner-style chairs set up near the capsule, to begin their readjustment to gravity and undergo brief medical tests. All three appeared in good condition, and Serova smiled broadly as she sat in the chair bundled up against temperatures a few degrees below freezing.

a lot of people are confused as to what is causing them to not be able to move much, it’s because in space as you know, gravity doesn’t exist so being in a non gravity environment, it causes you to turn weak considering you don’t have to use your muscles to walk or anything. so the first time they reach earth, they’re legs don’t have the ability to hold them up. it’s definitely a weird feeling.

gravity exists in space what causes microgravity in space is the fact that spaceships are in free fall all the time. an example is the ISS, which is constantly falling towards the Earth but missing it (in other words, it's orbiting Earth)

Same as it will be hard to get up and start walking directly after u wake up after 3-4 days….since it’s same effect to ur inner body as or muscles work negligible in space due to non gravity environment…. Mathematically, Work done can be expressed in terms of potential difference which is a measure of mgh…since g is 0 so no work is really needed to get a job done…
