I remember wanting this game all the way back in 2019 to 2020 but now it’s about to be three years since then and my feelings haven’t changed about how beautiful this game is.

I remember being about 8 years old in 2016 and never wanting anything other than the game, I think I got it like a year later and since then my love for the game grew with every update. I'm so amazed on how much the game has changed over the years, and I couldn't be happier with the end result. The team did such an amazing job at creating such a great game.

This game is truly a masterpiece in every sense of the word. The beautiful intricacies make this game feel vibrant and alive. I still can't believe how much effort has been put into every facet of this game. It's very clear to me that the developers have given it their all when designing the many subtleties and exquisite landscapes this game has to offer. Somehow, these developers have managed to master the art of a true sandbox experience; every time I revisit this game, I find myself to be astonished at all that has been done perfectly in this game. I remember when I first bought this game on Christmas day of 2019. I was ecstatic, I couldn't contain myself. I'd seen all the trailers and the gorgeous views of distant galaxies and never-ending cave systems. I was entirely encapsulated by each and every aspect of this game that has been carefully crafted and fitted together to produce this magnum opus. And the polygonal art style is just the cherry on top of the whole thing. There's always something to appreciate every time I decide to boot up this game, always a new feature, a sight I'd never experienced, a cave left untouched. There's just an absurd amount of effort put into this game that I simply can't express in just one youtube comment. So, if you haven't already, buy this game, you most certainly won't regret it.

I only just discovered Astroneer this past year, so if anything I should be thanking all of you for such a wonderful game.

This game brings a tear to the eye

i just recently started playing again and started talking to a really old friend because of it. this game is so beautiful in its own way and is so full of fun times and laughter along with the struggles when you start. i bond with this game when i play it, like im one with the planet im surviving on. thank you, System Era. we owe you a great deal in making such a fantastic experience. sincerely, an astroneer.

I bought this game in 2017 and have followed every update since I bought it, honestly a beautiful game and you can tell it was made with love. I hope it continues to grow and attract more people to this beautiful work of art.

I’ve been here since pre alpha and am happy how far you guys have come

Man I can’t believe it’s been six years. One of my oldest and favorite experiences in astroneer was New Year’s Eve 2016, I got home after all the New Years stuff and went to my room all excited to play some astroneer I started a new save that night Everything was going well until I finally got to go to barren, I hopped in a rover and took off to explore, at the time I didn’t know anything was wrong, how mistaken I was, 10 minutes in to my little buggy excursion I decided enough was enough and to head home. To my disappointment I couldn’t see my base marker. I was lost. Lost? How could I have gotten lost on a moon that small? I had no choice but to drive around until I found home. Hours I spent venturing through the asteroid crater covered surface of barren, falling into many craters on my journey having to dig myself out each time, until around 4am when… I finally found it I saw that tiny glimpse of safety that which was my tiny moon base, I had found it and my hours of being lost finally ended and I could get back to my space conquest. Good times That save ended with me setting of a massive explosion on barren actually, broke the save, didn’t matter though it would have been deleted in the next update regardless

Played the game first in pre-alpha and absolutely loved it, started playing again a week ago and having a blast. Thank you for all the great work!

I just recently got into astroneer and I will say it straight. This is the most fun I have ever had in my entire video game career. Thank you for making such a great game and im having a blast activating all of the planets!!! I hope for an even better next year!!

Most underrated game of 2022

man, love that it still gets updates 8 years later :D shows much love, care and possible game addiction from the developers xd. But honestly such a calming and adventurous game! Hoping for 8 more years :D.

Me and my friend just started playing on Nintendo Switch two weeks ago and omg it's so addicting and fun!! We play every evening and we just built a railway station on Glacio and atmospheric condensers on Sylva and Novus. Our next project is building a bigger shuttle because moving resourses between planets is a struggle.

Man I watched this game as a kid on KZfaq and now I finally have it and I’ve beat the game almost every month

i love this game and everything that happened this year, and that 2023 teaser in the purple structure i can never give a name is super cool looking, but the one thing i've always wanted this game to have ever since i first saw it years ago is just a tutorial area or button or anything that isn't just some gui, the game is so complex at this point i feel like it's kind of needed

I'm just in love with this game. 👏🏻🥰🥳 I love how relaxing it is. Most of the time. When you're not fleeing from plants 🤣🙈 and cliffs.. I almost got all the mission done. 🥳 Only need 2 planets done and 1 Vintage satellite on Atrox ( I just don't like that planet 🤣🙈) It's so amazing with the trains when you have to get to the core. Love you can call it back. 🤣👏🏻I have over 1 mil in research points so that's a bit nuts. 🙈 But I'm just collecting and cleaning the planets and having a good time. I use the colourful Christmas 🌟 as decoration on the tall storage. And are now building my last full base on Atrox.. 👏🏻🥳🥰

I came here for a happy end of the astroyear but man some sneak peek in to new updates and maybe a new companion. that's so much better as an end of year gift

i remember when i was younger watching a youtuber play this game since the first betas and being so amazed when the first full release came out sadly the youtuber left KZfaq (i think) and then i couldnt play Astroneer because i didnt have a pc but recently i got a proper gaming pc and Gamepass and man this game is a blast keep up the good work guys!

This game is my most played on steam, but I played it on Xbox for a while before I got my pc (I don't remember but it was like 2017), honestly its one of my all time favourites and I've introduced five of my friends to it, there was a few updates I missed but I am still yet to fully complete it with only the activate all gateway chambers achievement left. Great game, keep it up!

ok so My take from the 2023 leak at the end is that the funny little skrunkly is “chronos” who is mentioned a few times in the “curious item” log entries, specifically the log that appears to be the last log available to us. saying “This is the only way. I can’t save them all.” referring to the catastrophic failure of the Elysium on its way to locate the crash site of the Triton, though “Chronos” is also referred almost like a higher management as well as an ai system, though i guess it could be both? idk that’s just my take from this, i’d like to hear others opinions

In a future update can you guys add shoots like the things that shoot Materials up into space for the planets that is the target to pick in up and land in a catcher. And they take up like 20-10 us of power to launch stuff.
