No bios flashback... feels bad man. I know it's not needed right now, but i feel like it's so NEEDED in any mobo really for the general out-of-the-box experience. Btw, what are the difference between Z790-A and Z790-P?

This is exactly what I am looking to get more info on, the A vs P version of the board. The P version is 50 bucks cheaper so would seem to be the $ wise choice.

I'm planing to buy this mb but because I'm not that expert in pcie lanes, my setup will be to install two m.2 gen 4 and a gpu. my question is: will my gpu lose lanes and became x8 instead of 16 ? if yes then could you please guide me to a good value mb with this setup ?

This was 300 from Box a few days ago, today it's scraping 600.. I suppose all stores auto correct depending on how scarce, but it's still a definite rip off. The US is doing much better now for gpu and all round tech availability now, but it would seem the Euro-UK stores are holding back in order to squeeze as much as they can from the public. That motherboard would fit well with a lighter case and seems decent enough despite the 70s scifi design, but it should have bios flashback

@@MultiMatteh Yes. The P version has more PCIe 16 slots. The A version has a Wifi 6E and Asus LANGuard, whie the P version has Wifi 6. Overall, the A is a better MB to me, as most people won't ever use the extra PCIe slots.

Considering getting this board... Can the light blue audio jack (normally line in rear panel) be reconfigured as "Rear Speakers" in a 5.1 setup. According to the manual it says to use the pink front panel but that would be inconvenient - but also in the manual for the Z790-P it says the light blue jack CAN be used for rear speakers, but for the Z790-A- it's different...

Having loads of issues with the I226-V Ethernet Adapter on this board. Thinking I may have to return it to Microcenter :( It's a shame because I'm loving how it looks!

Does this have any boot option for booting different OS's from different drives, like press F10 for boot options. If not does anyone know any 13900K motherboard that does?

That's not a motherboard feature. Use a bootloader lol.

hi I have the ddr5 certified 3.0, why in the bios of this z790 it doesn't see xmp 3.0 and only xmp 1.0, 2.0 and xmp tweaked? I have the latest bios

Were those benchmark stock? without a graphics card? If so then would it be great for VR gaming with a DDR5 32GB with a i5 12800 6 cores? Does it need a GTX 3060TI?

i have found, if i wait... then next gen i will wait for that to...and i end up waiting forever... it is unfortunate/fortunate that things are advancing so fast you can never be ahead for very long, but our options are endless and this is a problem all on its own thing... but also a blessing.. what a time to be alive

Honestly, temp will never go down. PC parts gets more powerful each generation. Though they could dial it back a bit. AMD seem to have cracked the code between power and temps. Lets hope Intel can do the same.

if you buy this board you will get xmp 1 7000mhz but its not 100% stable... and forget about anything higher I dont care what kit you got. I spent 3 days with a 7200 g skill kit trying to get 7200 stable.. its just not possible or hey maybe i lost the lottery.
