I replied to your reddit post with a picture of a July revision model. Would be interisting if you got a new mainboard with the heatshield on the reader. If you are keen to open the back you could take a look.

Do you have links to a teardown guide? I'm happy to try this.

@@Mikerty391 basically just unscrew all backplate screws. The bottom middle one wont come completely out. The use a pry tool from the right corner behind the trigger. On e half is popped off rest is easy. Just search youtube for ally teardowns until you feel you have seen enough to try yourself. You need a ph 1 screwdriver.

When you do an RMA do they send back your orginal Ally or a replacement? Already have a screen protector on mine and dont want to have to set windows up all over again.

@Mikerty3919 ай бұрын
@@summerleeye588 3 weeks total, but that was before they started delaying. I've heard it's more 1 to 1.5 months now.

It's a crap shoot to be honest. The replacement didn't eliminate the problem. No one knows when theirs will fail.

I'm with you-- we're trusting there's some magic in the MOBO that's resolving the issue but ultimately who knows.
