Things I forgot to mention:
The Laptop surface gets kinda hot (50°C) above the keyboard, but it didn't bother me when using the laptop.Under full gaming laod the CPU gets around 85-90 °C and the GPU around 75-78 °C.
And thanks to the ASUS software the fans can be controlled, manually aswell!
On full speed they are quite noticable, but in my opinion it's acceptable.

he secret to this laptop's gaming performance is because the screen is small you can reduce game resolution to 720p for more FPS with less noticeable graphic quality reduction

there are 2 versions. GV301QH (1650) and GV301QE (3050ti) edit: some countries have the r7-5800hs instead. so idk the model number for those

Under full gaming load the CPU reaches around 85-90 °C and the GPU around 75-78 °C. And thanks to the ASUS software the fans can be controlled, manually aswell! On full speed they are quite noticable, but in my opinion it's acceptable. VR: Oculus Rift and Quest are supported. The Psu charger has a power of 100w

That 50°C, is it under heavy load? What's the temperature on keyboard for normal usage (office task, video streaming, lots of tabs on browser)?

@@KhanhNDo I only tested KZfaq at 50% brightness and got around 5-6 hours. So it should be a bit more for lighter office usage. But as always the manufacturers advertise the absolute maximum duration under unrealistic circumstances (supernlow brightness, battery saving mode, no sound, low fan speed, etc.)

The 3050ti comes with 32gb in some European markets. Swe/Nor/Fra + others. No idea why the 32gb version isn’t available in all territories tbh.

I have no need for this apart from using it to replace my main gaming rig, but its 250 off on best buy and considering the specs, 1250 dollars dont like a horrible deal, considering its all in a small, neat machine, not to mention the screen is amazing. Just wish they had an OLED option. Would look even gorgeous

I just wanna ask since they have a 2 variant ROG flow x 13 Ryzen 7 1650MaxQ and the newest 9 3050ti which one is better between 1650 and 3050 ? Is there any a temperature problem with this 2 variant

38db on Turbo mode? That can't be right. Expecially for gaming. That would make it the quietest gaming laptop on the market. Especially for a 13 inch.

So tempted by this laptop. Cant decide between this, the ROG M16, and the Lenovo Legion Slim 7. Really wanting a 16:10.

@Aditya Wagh yes it is in stock in the US. There's a good deal from Lenovo, otherwise also available from Best Buy. I just picked up the M16 and it is really quite impressive. I don't know if I can go back to 16:9 resolution.

@Aditya Wagh I think it's fairly light given what it is. The 16" screen is amazing. I am coming from a Yoga 910. I don't find as much of a difference with weight as much as thickness, it no longer fits into my laptop sleeve because it has the built in feet for cooling. The computer is silent when I'm using it for browsing. It looks like Lenovo is updating a lot of their lineup with 16:10 so it will be interesting.

@@andrewhua4972 how about the battery life on M16 is it good on light load like some web browsing, typing doc, etc (about up to 8 hours)? Cause I'm still confused picking up M16 or Flow x13 considering about the battery and also the weight of it

@@grisdymahardikana8372 8 hours should be doable. I would go for the M16 unless you need the portability. It's overall way more comfortable to use, and the screen is significantly better. I ultimately ended up with the XPS 9510 just because I had issues with the speakers on the M16 and lost a bit of confidence. It shouldn't have to be fixed from the factory with registry edits.

Try Alienware, keyboard is more solid and doesn't move when touching it - here we seems to have some (unwanted?) air bag.

can u charge the laptop from both usb c port? i mean from the XG mobil port? because the right side usb c laptop mode should get in the way for mouse right?

You charge it at the xg mobile port only

I tried it in mine. yes you can. but I keep the cover on the port as I don't have the xg mobile. it doesn't get in the way of the mouse for me.

Die beste Lüftung hat es denke ich im Zelt-Modus, da ist dann viel Platz für Frischluft. Kann man aber auch nur machen wenn man mit Controller spielt oder sich Videos anschaut. Deine Videos über das ROG Flow X13 waren super um zu zeigen was das Ding alles kann! Ich denke ich kaufe es mir auch, war bei dir der Stift dabei? Brauche ein passendes Gerät für die Schule (mit Stift und Touchdisplay) worauf ich auch noch etwas spielen kann, sieht für mich also ziemlich gut aus. 😁

Hi, I have no idea about gaming but my grandson wants HS flow rtx 3050 player one. Im not sure if what you're reviewing is the same type of Tech. Maybe you can help me. this tech is from NZXT and runs $750. Is there an equivalent that is cheaper? Or a better one? Thank you for your help.

Thanks the great video, I’m considering this laptop and this is probably the first review I’ve found with the 3050ti model! My big question is can I connect this to an external monitor and still get close to the same performance in game? I would be playing warzone primarily

YES! You will get the same performance. I Recorded all the games with a capture card, meaning it WAS recorded externally. Just make sure you don't use the CLONE feature. That slows down the fps.

How did you manage to get more than 30fps with battery? My one is stuck on 30fps even if I change between low and medium settings. What am I doing wrong?

You probably have geforce experience installed and running. This might have the option checked that in battery it will cap its fps at 30. Also: did you try several games? Or just one? And: make sure vsync is deactivated in the games graphic options.

did you use tent mode while gaming? these average cpu temps (85-90°C) looks pretty hot and scary to me if you recorded these on tent mode. it should be more cooler than stand mode I guess and that means stand mode would be hotter than these temps.

So, es ist gestern angekommen und ich bin überrascht, was für eine Leistung in so einem kleinen Gerät steckt! Ich bin bisher sehr zufrieden damit, bei mir war der Stift mit dabei, ausserdem noch so einen Stand, damit es bessere Kühlung erhält. Diesen Stand (Karton unter dem Laptop in Lieferbox) übersehen viele, ist aber noch nützlich. ;)

Hey, wie laut sind die Lüfter so beim Browsen, KZfaq etc? Finde das Gerät von der Größe und den Specs her ziemlich perfekt, bin aber was Lautstärke betrifft etwas von MacBooks verwöhnt 😄

@@romansweik Hey, die Lüfter gingen bei mir nie sehr schnell an, benutze es immer im „Leise“ Modus. Laut wird es nicht, ausser man spielt irgendwelche anspruchsvollen Spiele. Beim normalen Browsen hatte die CPU bei mir immer so um die 54 Grad. Habe es bereits mehrere Stunden lüfterlos benutzt. Ich kann das Gerät echt empfehlen, diese Leistung in dem kleinen Gehäuse und trotzdem kein Düsenjet. 😁

I ask because I have a hp envy 13 and it runs on full performance connected with the original bulky charger and also disconnected (surprsingly) but not on full performance connected per usb c charger or usb c powerbank which is super annoying! It will act as if it's plugged dup to a 65w wall charger, as that's the highest Asus allows 3rd party chargers to supply. It's still enough power for gaming but it is slightly slower than the Asus 100w charger

FHD imo. 4k on such a small screen is not "necessary". The 120hz adaptive sync will on the other hand be a game changer.

I think it would be perfect, Revit seems to like AMD's better multicore on the desktop side according to peugot's benchmarks, and the 3050ti should be plenty for it as well. Autocad seems similar.

One thing I love about gaming laptops is the matte screen. With this being a touchscreen it's not going to have that. That's the only thing keeping me from buying it. That and I wanted a fun lit backlit keyboard this time damn it. 😆 But how glossy is this one compared to other touchscreen laptops? The same?

I've finally decided I'm getting this laptop. I can always buy the xg mobile for more gaming power and the screen is so small I could reduce the resolution to 720p for more graphical capabilities

I purchased this exact specd model about a month ago. It's now running two 4k monitors at an easy 60htz each. I purchased it for video editing and it handles my content better than my desktop, far better! Love it so far.

@@clemenclemen4237 It gets a little warm when on my lap (silent mode) or when gaming, though I game on a external monitor and keyboard, so I don't really touch it. Battery life, with several Chrome and Edge tabs open (Google apps mostly) and some Zoom thrown in is around 7.5 - 8.5 hours.

@@southernalps3702 It can be done with the regular windows display settings. Thats the place where you set your screen resolution. You can choose to extend or duplicate the screen. And you can also choose "Only use screen nr. 2" when another screen is plugged in. I'm not sure if it saves battery. BUT if you have electricity to run the sxternal screen you surely have electricity to charge the laptop while doing so?

It's more than that. As stated in the review. Gaming gets you between 90 and probably 150 minutes. Watching KZfaq at 50% brightness got me 5 to six hours. So office usage would also get you more than 2-3 hours on battery saving options.

Please!!! Does this Flow x13 have MUX switch? If not, is there any solution for enhancing FPS by using dGPU for rendering display, instead of using iGPU, a bottleneck???

No MUX. Only way to bypass the integrated graphics is to use an external monitor.
