Given how the phone is made , I don't think there is a way to actually get it open without breaking your warranty. So far I've been using it for a month as a daily driver and have not had any issues nor have I heard of any from around the web.

Sadly red magic doesn't have micro SD. And depending on what you play the red magic stay warm on most games but on bigger games like Fortnite and nikke on maxed out graphics it's best to get the cooler

​@@abdulsalamolaide5908I had done some research myself and I think Asus Rog 7 had a better overall audio quality, but it doesn't mean RM8 audio quality is bad, It's just ROG 7 had a better overall audio quality plus In the website you can see Rog 7 had a hi-res audio sertificate + in the box I don't see it in RM8 neither the box, furthermore Rog 7 audio is tuned with Dirac Virtuo and RM8 is tuned with Dts X, tbh i don't know which one is better.

SO I just tried the both of them out with a pair of cheap JBL Earphones (T210) and I think the ROG 7 has a slight edge over the RM8 for the trained ear, and even then that margin is by a hair to my ears at least.

rams dont matter if u have same processor,,if ur playing heavy mobiles games 4 gb is also enough

comparison should have been with the RM8 pro void or the titanium version since that's its RAM/Storage equivalent, right off the bat the RM8 pro is at a dis advantage since it has less ram and storage to the ROG phone and would definitely skew the test results in favor of the ROG.

There's a video about the redmagic 8 pro's connectivity and I'm pretty sure it doesn't work on Verizon, non of the Chinese phones I've very bought worked on version and I switch to T-Mobile because of it, service is just as good if not better and it's gonna work on the red magic 8 pro, mines coming in a few days

@@maniac420_7 there's almost to reason to not get the red magic over the rog, speakers are nice but it's not a deal breaker and if you're seriously gaming you'll always wear headphones so that cancels out the benefit, battery life is basically the same, gaming is better with stock things on redmagic, roof can't keep up without the cooler and the only times you'll use the loud and bulky cooler is in your house. If you look at it from a casual persons perspective it's even bigger of a gap, most people want the seamless screen not the one with borders, and for most people they would rather have the minimal design instead of one that screams gaming. I just bought the 649$ redmagic which is the one in this video that is compared to the 1500$ rog and was able to keep up to it and had better stability. I'll admit the software isn't the best but it's not a huge problem and ill definitely deal with it because the phone is just so cheap. Most people aren't too concerned about charging speeds but from other videos the red magic charges about 10 mins faster than rog but it's not a bug difference so you'll prob not even notice. But just overall your basically getting the same package for half the price.

@@Killer-wu9hk I've watched multiple reviews and for the price and spec's I'd get the red magic. I really like the the seamless screen and the battery and speakers I'm fine with. I also like that boxy design considering I loved the razer phone 2. My main concerns was how it handles be a phone and I haven't seen many reviews covering that aspect because if I wanted a portable gaming device Id buy a Nintendo or PSP. Needless to say I'm not picky and the negatives probably won't out way the positives for me. Thanks for giving me your input definitely makes me want to buy it more now and I'll be switching to T-Mobile.

The Rog 7(not ultimate) and RM8 Pro are almost the same price. I bought Rog 7 and got the cooling fan for free. I love the phone so far.

The price is actually quite the same if you compare it to basic Rog 7 not the ultimate one. Rog 7 and 7 ultimate basically have the same spec minus the exterior design and that little vent to attach the cooling fan.

The touch sample rate is meaningless when the 8Pro's touch latency is more than 1.5 times of ROG 7(26ms). Same setting while playing rythm games give me worse result with saying I press the notes too slow. Even larger latency than most of the flagship phones. Not to mention the bad holding feelings. That's the two mean reason why RM8 Pro cannot replace my Rog 6 and I sold RM8 for a Rog 7.

I used ROG 5 and had Ram dump error. I've been scared to get ROG ever since. Please tell me if ROG 6 is stable. It's a lot of money for a guy like me. I saved for a whole year to get ROG 5

I don't know where you got this from, but the Rog Phone 7 ultimate has better raw performance, and much better performance stability. Almost absolute cold when playing. Much better sound. Faster touch response, (although the touch sampling says that the Red Magic 8 pro has the advantage with its 960hz) in practice the Rog Phone 7 ultimate responds faster. Much better Asus software. The only thing really better about the Red Magic 8 pro is its screen resolution. For the rest, the Rog Phone 7 ultimate wanders alone in this "competition".

that's like 500 more though. didn't really like the software at first, but it's good enough, not too bad. not nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be. there's also an app called nova launcher. it fixes a lot of gripes I had with the phone like relocating the search bar to the bottom of the screen instead of the top. fixes a lot tbh.. you could have saved if you went Rm8 + nova launcher

Good choice. Also Rm 8pro is bad for long hours of gaming because of its squared design corners, 30 mins of gaming on it you'll start to feel pain specially in your 2 index finger. Most People just wont admit it maybe because they can't afford the rog phone 7u. There's always a reason why phones with good specs are sold for cheap prices 🙃

as a redmagic 8 pro plus user, I totally agree with your point and the charging is super hot,so hot that I need external cooling methods like a fan to use the 165w supercharge, and the battery already got 'pregnant for 3 weeks'(I can see LEDs inside through the gap...)

Rog phone 6d ultimate owner here. External cooler is SO powerful but is really only for at home. I'm looking at Red magic for next phone because the built in cooling fan looks decent and it also has an optional external cooler.

Yup like I mentioned it is obviously an unfair comparison in terms of specs but there are certain things that the Phone 7 Ultimate lacks that the RM8 Pro has! If only we had the more the powerful 16GB RAM void edition , that would level the playing field.

That is really not the case lol. 1. All rog phones since 6 has input lags. This is completly unacceptable on a gaming phone. 2. Redmagic little fan is capable of holding temperatures for multiple hours without problems. As an avid gamer i can testify. I play sometimes the whole day.

Also people said the update didnt show up on rm and sometimes broke the software and the phone was unusable. Id rather not take the chance of that and go for a more powerful, longer lasting and reliable phone

you are using rog 6 and below model. Those device equip with snapdragon 888, snapdragon 8 gen 1 should be avoid.
