This is the ASUS ZenBook 14. I’ve been using it a little over a week now and I can say this is one compact, small and yet mighty, nifty little swiss knife of a laptop. Let me explain
You see mini laptops used to be slow, bulky and non-impressive but that isn’t the case here. The ASUS ZenBook 14 is an elegant laptop from ASUS that spares no chance to impress with it’s no compromise performance and all round gorgeous yet functional and durable form factor.

Excellent review. I am using an Asus UX303 with the power and delete button in the same place and never hit the wrong one. I might have at first but don't recall. I like where the power button is because it is easy to get to. Other laptops I have I have to feel around the side for the power button. However, moving the backslash next to the left shift key is unacceptable and there was no reason to do that and shorten the shift key length. It should be above the Enter key.

For the video editors out there, I have the MX250 version and yes, it can edit 4k. Tried S1H V-LOG 4k footage and color graded it. Plays back smoothly. Make sure your power mode is on "Best Performance". Also, Asus claims it covers 100% sRGB (some say 97%) so for those who are concerned about that, there you go.

do note that it gets pretty hot over time. So if you're a lap person, yea it gets hot. And if you're planning to do long hour work on this, get a laptop cooler to make things, well, cooler.

I've got an MX350 version. what editing software would you recommend?

@@partypete007 so far i tried it on both Premiere Pro (newest ver.) & Davinci Resolve 16 (free ver.) I used Premiere for the test I did in my main comment and it runs smooth on Best Performance Battery mode. For Resolve, I did not test the S1H footage but I tried doing 4k footage from a stock site and it could run it okay but w/ few stutters here and there. I'm not sure if I had Best Performance mode on so you can still try it out yourself. It's a free software anyways!

@@partypete007 Im not sure how it would run on your specific model since my Zenbook has different specs from yours. Mine has a 10th Gen i7 Processor, 16 gigs of ram, and the MX250.

Nice review as always I noticed you did not talk about the graphics card if it has dedicated video memory or not but at over 400k it will be a crime if it does not come with a dedicated video card Kudos on a wonderful review though

I saw on another video that you can't use the touch pad display as a touch pad when using it as a display which was a negative to me until I saw your video that showed you can switch between touch pad and display with a simple 3 finger tap. That was great for you to include that.

@@user-cc2wr1jw4f I really think it is, even tho the gpu is not the best (it's a mx350 btw) it can definitly help out, if you are into gaming that much this is a amazing pick, if you do wanna game it might not be the best choice but it's definitly not bad for gaming. Un gaming wise, this laptop is great

Hey nice review. Btw Can pls tell the touch screen 6:17 is optional or built in all zenbook 14? I viewed a lot of 434 models in person but the shop keepers told me there is no touch screen. Is it you added extra touch screen to the zenbook? Thanks

I just purchased the AMD R7-4700 version that is non-touch! This is called the 433I and the version in video is the Intel version and called 434. Hope this helps

I'm looking at the Dell XPS 13, the Asus UX482, and this one. The Dell is supposed to be great but the lack of ports and it being just another plain looking laptop is a minus for it. I wish I could try out the UX482 for a week. Don't know if the extra screen and placement of the keyboard and track pad would be okay or not. This one kind of beats them both. You get an extra screen but not at the expense of a crammed keyboard and track pad.

I have this laptop, I find Windows Hello is so good, I don't ever think about not having a fingerprint reader. ScreenPad 2.0... I leave it off mostly - working with a mouse in excel, I don't need to function menu etc. - lovely laptop though. I have the MX250, i7-10510u, 16gb RAM model.

So it's got very high specs so anything you throw at this laptop will be well handled with ease. On if it's better, I wouldn't want to say that because preference for each platform is subjective. But the ZenBook 14 is incredibly efficient

yow i can't get my physical keyboard and my osk to match so some special letters are out of wack . i don't get it is the language or ..... if someone knows somethings get back to me example wen i type the @ i go to where the 2 is but its not located there on the physical keyboard

You need to change your keyboard to US English. Go to settings and search for language and input (keyboard) and change it to US English
