Also, they do get an asylum hearing while in custody now. The asylum officer determines whether they will move forward to see a judge or be returned to their home country. 9 out of 10 have the same story. All are fleeing their country because they aren’t on board with the laws of their country and don’t have means to sustain themselves financially. They all confess to ultimately request asylum for the work, finical aid and government assistance. This is not a lie. I can’t make this stuff up. They literally shoot them self in the foot in the interview. 😂

I used to be on the opposite side of this. But Texas bringing 40K to Chicago and homeless people having an even tougher time finding shelter in the winter made me do a 180. There was a food giveaway, and I watched a woman drag away two BOXES of food while others stood around asking for one water bottle. She was dragging one of those huge plastic ones with about 40. The greed mixed with audacity kinda soured me on "all are welcome." I want Chicago's homeless problem to be resolved before more immigrants arrive.

People need to learn proper terminology: 1. Asylum seekers: people asking protection from persecution from their government. Fear of imprisonment, or death by their govt. They're usually political dissenters. We welcome them. 2. Illegal: doesn't ask entry permission. Use force. Invade. Disrespects our laws. Not vetted. Don't learn our laws/constitution, or English. Law breakers = illegal. They aren't welcomed. They take. 3. Immigrant: asks permission to entry legally. Get vetted for criminals, terrorists, & disease carriers. Learn our laws/constitution & English. People who helped make America. Our grandparents. Immigrants are welcome. Proper terminology does mean a lot.
