At 48, Roy Orbison's Son FINALLY Admits What We All Suspected
With a career spanning over three decades, Rock icon Roy Orbison was one of the most influential musicians of his generation.
Rocking the sixties with hits like 'Oh, Pretty Woman' and 'Crying', Roy cemented himself as one of the leading stars of the 1960s, before finding a successful career resurgence two decades later. However, Roy’s life was not a bed of rocking roses. After facing numerous tragedies and eventually passing on at the peak of his career resurgence, his son Alex has finally come forward to admit what we've always suspected about his dad. What is it, you ask? Let's get right into it.

I worshpped Roy. His first 5 notes to Oh Pretty Woman made me dance around as a 6 year old. He was my inspiration for studying music and patiently waiting tll I got a guitar at age 13. 55 years later I still think of him as the best voice . Even my 80 year old neighbours still borrow the Traveling Wilburys DVD for extended periods of time. He'll go down in musical history as a great, if not, the best singer ever. No-one can match that sound and the octave ranges he could sing. A true great.

Man, a lot of tragedies in this man's life. He was however blessed with a beautiful voice. Rest in Peace Mr Roy Orbison. Oh, and by the way Elvis loved Roy's voice. Roy sung some beautiful songs that went on to become huge hits. His most popular ones are not mentioned here, but any Orbison fan knows which ones they are. Thank you so much for this video.

One song that doesn't get much mention is Pretty Paper, a wonderful Christmas song written by Willie Nelson that Roy recorded on September 11th, 1963, while in London, England. Despite having a 102-degree fever, Roy, with the backing of the Ivor Raymonde orchestra, knocked it out of the park like only he could do with that God-given voice from the heavens. He left us far too soon.

It is very sad when a son has something to say about his dad one of the greatest singers in the past 70 years, after Elvis passed it was nown Roy's time to shine and shine he did I was very lucky to see him play just before he passed. I was listening to a radio talk show about 2018 & the host was interviewing two of the sons. They let it be known that in addition to the video a "Black & White Night" there are other shows that were videotaped. I also heard that Elvis was in ahh of Roy, since he could be the only singer at the time to rival him because he could write songs.

My wife and I saw Roy perform in a small Disney venue in March 1988. We had front-row seats less than 20 feet from the stage. His voice was as pure and perfect as his recordings going back to the '60s. That was one of the best live performances I've ever seen. In retrospect, his death later that year made the event epic.
