Throughout the video, we explore the various facets of Daltrey's life and the impact he has made both on and off the stage. From his early days as a young, rebellious rocker to his more recent role as a passionate advocate for the Teenage Cancer Trust, Daltrey has always been driven by a deep sense of purpose and a desire to make a difference in the world.
As he steps back from his long-held position as the curator of the Teenage Cancer Trust's annual benefit concerts, Daltrey reflects on the incredible success of the charity under his leadership and the countless lives that have been touched by its work. His decision to pass the torch to a new generation of leaders is a testament to his selflessness and his unwavering commitment to the cause.
But perhaps the most compelling aspect of this video is the way it captures Daltrey's indomitable spirit and his refusal to let age or infirmity define him. Despite facing numerous health challenges over the years, including vocal cord surgeries and hearing loss, Daltrey remains committed to his craft and continues to deliver powerful performances that leave audiences awestruck.
Get ready to be moved, inspired, and uplifted by this unforgettable portrait of a man who is saying his goodbyes with the same passion and intensity that have defined his life and career.

Of all the aging Rock singers who became famous in the 1960's, Roger has kept a youthful voice better than anyone else. At 80 years old, he still hits the high notes and sings with power!

Roger has always been a great model for younger people and I still don’t think people realise what he has done for his passion to help young people with cancer .he is an open person and has his feet on the ground. A great guy.

They have always been my ultimate fave band. Qudrophinia was for me the pinnacle album after discovering The Who Sell Out (which i stumbled across in a small town hardware store in a small northern Alberta town) Second ultimate band is The Guess Who… The Who were four talented musicians. (The Guess Who, two, maybe three talented musicians, but definitely Randy and Burt.) My only regret is that I never got to see the Who live. I was working on the oil rigs so i gave my tickets to my brothers.

Question 🙋 Just because he is now 80 years old 🧓. Why would he be saying his 👋 goodbyes ?. This singer is worth millions of dollars 💵. And has the best 😷 medical care 💰 money can buy ?..

Just because he’s got loads of money doesn’t mean he will live longer than anyone else. These people live a charmed life, some help others, most don’t. Good luck to him but he will go, when life says so…………

I think Pete Townshend was an equal force behind The Who. He wrote very highly distinctive and memorable songs. They were songs that just stuck to your brain. I think this made The Who very different and by far superior to later contemporaries like Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin, none of whom had a proper songwriter, as they just couldn't come out with proper songs. Their songs were more the sort of songs anybody could have thought of, and just sounded the same as millions of other loud songs. Pete' songs were different. He was a positive writer. But like so many better bands, Roger's voice was distinctive, as was Pete's, which also made The Who more distinctive than their later contemporaries, as did their early contemporaries like The Kinks, Yardbirds and The Small Faces.

All those bands you mentioned were ARTISTS. The WHO having superior songs is just your opinion. And yes, i do agree, the Who did have some good songs....

@@user-zi7te7ix8s Another band I should have mentioned among The Who's much better early contemporaries were Cream, who were another great and distinctive band. Both Pete Townshend and Ginger Baker admitted they didn't like Led Zeppelin. I like Rock music, but I am no fan of Heavy Metal. At a previous job, we had a huge Queen fan. But when I said "What about Guns 'N' Roses", he said "I can't stick them".
