Part 7
So there are issues with the Pan America Harley Davidson ! its the traction control, no matter what setting you put it in, in my opinion it is way to intrusive, I wish I knew how to turn it all off ! This is one heavy bike to pick up

He Danny I have the pan am special and ride offroad trails with it. 2 things... 1 hold down the mode button when in offroad mode (and full stop) to activate offroad+ (yellow icon turns purple, now you can drift and back wheel ABS is off) 2 if you don't want traction control, simply shut it off by pushing the TC button. I love your content it's honest and funny! This is a very capable adventure bike, with offroad+ and TC off you would've killed that hill climb. Cheers!

I've been waiting for this episode 👍... I like your review, not just because it's candid, but because it shows the struggles that riders face as they actually happen on the ground (literally), and so I think a number of regular and beginner riders who've been in similar situations can quickly relate. I've had several instances when - on hindsight - I realized that I could have done things differently during some of my own failed attempts on dirt/mud... or when I've forgotten nuanced lessons or bike features that could've helped me... but I guess mental dexterity can quickly jump out the window when one is pumped with adrenaline and/or fatigue out there on the dirt.

Great videos, sadly in the first part the tires were not up to speck, and now as we all know, this bike is really 99% touring, 1% soft gravel, just like the Multistrada. They look the part but are not true Enduro bikes like the KTM 1290 Super Adventure or GS1250 Enduro that can handle a bit better these terrains. But it is refreshing watching someone really squeezing the bike in these hard situations. What can add? Never give up, you are a professional!

Danny! I love ya, but what ya lack in commen-sense, ya make up with tenacity! When on the side of the hill, always use the footpeg that is sticking in the ground as a pivot-point. Grab the front wheel and use gravity and pull that front wheel around, using the grounded peg for pivot. Get the front wheel facing down the hill and everything will come together. Same with your up-hill center-stand bear-trap situation. Lay the bike over on its left side, use the grounded peg to pivot the front end down the hill. Use the force (gravity). P.S. refrain from highly technical skill-riding on a new 560lb bike. Just because you have the biggest and baddest sword, doesn't mean you have the means required to wield effectively! Love ya.

The bike is about 2 hundred pounds to heavy for an all out trail bike. By the time your ride is over your exhausted just from trying to hold it up and staying in control of an overweight bike.might be good in grass or occasional mud and lose dirt but definitely not an all around trail bike . The bike is in control of the rider when it should be the rider should be in control..your first impression of the bike was spot on Danny. Be careful out there my friend.

I cringe to the day he comes off on pavement with those perpetual bear hands of his, but needs them free to operate the cameras etc he says. I guess some fingerless gloves would be the next best thing. Livin the dream

I get really worried when I see you constantly pulling dragging lifting wrenching these heavy bikes. Trust me perforated damaged discs in ya back are no fun. Can u take some one with you to help even if there off camera I don't mind. No shame in asking for help in life. Stay safe Daniel.

In school, they told us to deploy the kickstand when the bike is on it's side before lifting it up. You just flip it up on it's kickstand without having to balance the bike while walking around it.

Hey Danny, never give up! I have an Electra Glide (different animal for sure) and one day lost my footing and dropped it .... in my garage! After struggling to pick it up I finally managed, but my breathing was just like yours! Man, I thought a heart attack as coming.
