Nobody uses a chicken stick or Kevlar gloves anymore? I had my pinky finger chopped off halfway down from starting my 120-powered F4U COrsair 5 years ago. It was the one time I did not use my chicken stick or glove. They were able to re-attach it but I don't ever wish that pain on anybody. I have used a chicken stick or electric starter since then. Even using a Kevlar glove scares me. My finger can still barely move. With that said. That is a nice field and a nice Extra 300. Your friend did a great job putting it together with premium parts.

Wow amazing looking plane. Probably cost more than my car! The setup is so long. I’m the get the park and fly kinda guy. How does it not have electric start?

starter onbord is extra weight not REALLY NEEDED... besides.... ya gunna haffa hand crank it a few times to get the oil all spread around inside and watnot before you just go CRANKIN TO STARTUP :) eh.... yea... checklists even in RC keeps you FLYING LONGER & SAFER :)

Turbines as in jet engines? If yes then yes 😁 there are quite a few fighter replicas that use jet engines.
