In 1791 was an FFL required?

A big issue I see here is estate sales when someone dies. If a family member passes away that had a decent sized firearm collection, and they didn't have a will that covered those firearms, you're screwed! Unless there's some exemption for that case, you now have no means to sell those firearms at a fair market value. This country is in a really bad place and it's so frustrating.

More states need to nullify all Government weapons bans and ammo bans of all kinds like Montana did, here in Montana we OUR own gun laws, we DO NOT listen to the Government when it comes to our guns.

I'm in Colorado Springs! Been to Dragonmans a few times. Cool place! I would rather hit the hills to go shooting. I have a line I walk with my Pews! I still am able to buy 30rnd Magpul for ARs AKs yada yada. Laws are really not enforced here. I was into building 80%ers and customizing my pews now cannot get an 80% delivered into the State. So I'm saving to buy a 3D Printer. I can make new mag bodies to replace mine, glock lowers, not just glock anything polymer! Pass all the Unconstitutional Laws You Want! I will find a way around it to Ensure My Freedom! I Will Not Comply!!! I am no threat to anyone unless they are a threat to me. I have binary triggers and working on a machine shop to make really whatever I want! What if inflation causes the amount of dollars to go up but the value doesn't change? You're selling it for more dollars, but there's no change in the value of the firearm? What if your firearm just got popular over the years and the market values it higher?

Can I use the same rules as capital gains? Can I deduct my losses from my gains? And yes, I do have several firearms that I would need to take a loss on. But most are worth way more now

I’m still confused 🫤 I’m in CO. I want to downsize my gun collection. I sell 50 guns on Gunbroker and I use an FFL to handle the “transfers” of those firearms and the buyer has to pass a background check to take possession. So if the FFL’s are taking care of the transfers, am I still considered being in the “business” of selling firearms 🤔

So I know there are some good guys in any gov agency, but I think ATF and rest of government should really decide to themself or others what is going to far, what is unreasonable. Before you know it there will be unchangable harm to the country and others. Then Military will be the person to confiscate then imprison.

In some states it does, some it does not. You just need to be aware of straw purchases and those across state lines.

I don't believe you do need an ffl to sell a gun as long as it's not for profit and not acrossed statelines.
