Put funnels on the side of the vault, not on the top. You can glue them to the belt. Once the vault is attached to rope pulley, the funnel will detach from the vault and stay attached to belts.

Funnels that output to the side, but aren't attached to the Vault, they're above & attached to the belts, the stockpile moves independently. To my knowledge Funnels don't need a supporting block, and if an inventory is placed behind them they'll update and start outputting items

I managed to catch a bit of episode 43 and the reason there is 2 types of rotten flesh is when you harvest rotten flesh it does not expire for about 5 minutes you can test this by picking up rotten flesh off the ground

I think the toolbox might be broken because of nbt overflow. I've never encountered it myself but that happens pretty quickly when you nest too many things with inventory into eachother. In the modpack Nomifactory, the questbook specifically warns you about that with ae2 cells inside satchels.

You could make the processing line stationary and automatically unload the minecart contraption (in contraption form) using a Portable Storage Interface

not sure about your version of atfc but you can just saw the logs to strip them and then deploy the alloy onto the item form stripped log and its done

For the upwards facing funnels, you could extend the rock vaults upwards and use sideways facing funnels that are always powered, when it gets pulled up you can unpower them with static redstone lines attached to the cobble making lines

I made an improved version of your cross-shaped drill from a few episodes ago. It only requires 41 drills but mines a 21 block circle. It runs off a single 64-sail windmill and can be reeled back up with a rope pulley. I also built a cobble compactor similar to yours. Thank you for the inspiration, it was a very fun project. You should look into the portable storage interface, might be more convenient than the funnels alone.

Very impressive work, excited to see the mob farm! I feel like they need to add a toolbox alternative. I don’t feel they are overpowered just unrealistic given the rest of the mechanics. I saw a great way to automate precision mechanisms the other day. a 3x1 item vault parallel and centered to 5 long belt, an andesite funnel at the start of the vault out of the vault, a brass funnel into the vault at the end, a item filter whitelisting incomplete precision mechanisms (ignoring data), and 3 deployers beginning and ending at the funnels

Hey mango, a way to prevent the funnels dropping the items when moving is to insted use the portable storage interface

Love watching this. I can’t play modded or have the patience to do what you do but you make satisfying and amazing machines keep up the amazing content. Maybe next this can be applied to sky block or a singular island to limit resources and improve challenges.

Always make sure you have a shaft ready at hand for unexpected occurrences. 😂

The casing maker is unnecessarily convoluted, casings can be made on a belt. Ilmango is also playing with fire here, minecart contraptions are cool and can be abused to move items around, but they are dangerous because if you pick up massive complex contraptions with lots of items inside you can easily corrupt a chunk. There were also several options to output items from the vault, portable interface were one of them, but placing the funnels on the side of the vault and not making them part of the contraption is the easiest and least buggy. Some comments pointed out correctly that funnels can be placed on their own and will pull items from inventories placed behind them by automatic means.

Theoretically speaking, once Create Aeronautics comes out, one could build an airship that is based around such kind of mining machine. All the processing could happen on the ship itself, while the mining unit is practially the same as the one used here. Gosh, that update will be super interesting

So you don't have to keep adjusting the funnels when the drill comes up, could try keeping the funnels attached to the processing section above, have them feed to depots, then mechanical arms moving the items from the depots to the belts. Then when the vault comes up the funnels will attach, pull the items, then the mechanical arms place them.

There's a 'depot' part that links a movable part with immobile, exactly for this sort of application.

Some advice on steam engines from someone who works in a nuclear power plant: It's 4 fluid tanks per steam engine and 20rpm on a single water pump per steam generator level. The best fuel to use is objectively lava as you can create it renewably with cauldrons and drip stone(if that mechanic still functions in your pack) as well as by creating a volume of 10,000 blocks of lava in an old mining hole. Lava drawn from such a volume is considered infinite by create. Which can be created by transporting lava from the nether. Do not. I repeat. Do not attempt to power your boilers with blaze cakes. They do not make any sense to use since a single lv18 boiler powered by blazecakes produces just as much power as 2 lv 9 boilers with much cheaper fuel sources. It is also possible to build steam generators in the nether that work without a water source block nor a source of water from the overworld by 'duping' water with cauldrons. But as of yet the only working designs I've seen for this are my own. It relies on several create bugs/mechanics to work properly and reliably.

Was thinking about how the elytra essentially made the vanilla worlds seem small and repetitive and was thinking how flight could be introduced into this in a way that avoids that problem, yet allows you to actually fly. Planes seem like a good candidate to be introduced into this, with the appropriate progression difficulty - must have a variety of different machines to make them, must have absurd amounts of steel, must have a mechanism in place to refine loads of fuel + it runs out of fuel and such, must have an adequate take off/landing areas.

Sometimes Mango's contraptions in ATFC are painful to watch. @ilmango, look up the storage interface! Also, you can use a saw to cut the bark off the logs and use the deployer on a belt to make the casing. this will be much easier, no need to place and break the logs

You can actually make an assembly line with a mechanical saw to srip the logs and a deployer to uply the igneous alloy for the cassing

as for your ejection problem at 17:30 you can use fans to pull out with fan = X chute = || smart chute = S funnel = > belt = = X || > S === chest with that setup you should be able to pull out full stacks with filtering and no backlogs

Would be so cool if you added this to a wagon on the train and it deploys automatically on the side of the railway, and when it's done, it would pick it up again and would process it on another wagon

Couldn't the funnels be glued to the bottom side of the belts (or a block attached to the underside), instead of the part of the machine that lowers? That way they would (theoretically) only function when the machine is all the way up.

...for the casings you don't need that setup, just use a saw to strip the logs, set them on a belt or a depot, then have a deployer put the alloy on the items No placing down needed

the way to get higher stress units with boiler is with more heat sources and more fuild tanks so do a 3x4x3 of fuild tanks 3x3 of heat sourses under (in normal create super heated blaze furnaces are best) and then just add water and u should get more but the max i've personaly gotten is 200k+ stress units from 1 boiler

I guess the toolbox is unable to be opened intentionally, I've put my mining drill in a toolbox too and every time I tried to open it the game crashed with 32k bytes limit exceeded error. The only way to get it out is to hopper the items out. (I'm surprised they "fixed" the crash like this so atleast you don't crash the game)
