Hamza speaks with Ansar (atheist) and poses the question whether it's reasonable or unreasonable to believe the universe had a cause. The scientists and cosmologists of today have come to the conclusion the universe did have a beginning (The Kalam Cosmological Argument) and knowing everything that begins to exist within this universe had a cause, Is it therefore unreasonable to believe the universe has a cause? Stay tuned for Episode 2 insha'Allah :)

how can you just live like that? Not believing in anything because you can't be sure of anything. Atheists are people who have the most ego.
@umer5830
@umer5830 3 жыл бұрын
@@martingarreis oh I'm sorry if I offended u but there are just some athiests who are very egotistical. Not to say every athiest is. I just question how they can be fine with living life with no real purpose. And I do have a religion which is Islam and i follow it, because it is the only religion that actually makes sense and not to mention the Quran having no contradictions and errors. Also the Quran doesn't need an update because it is meant for rest of time and it clearly explains how to live life in the best way
@umer5830
@umer5830 3 жыл бұрын
@@martingarreis well I guess u have your reasons and I have mine. Also I'm not narrow minded. One of the reasons why I am so convinced is because the Quran has no errors. Obviously u can look online and u would see loads of "errors" but they are all coming from islamophobe websites and people who haven't even studied the Quran or know Arabic. If u give me a "error in the Quran, I'm not just gonna say its false, I can show u why it's not an error. I can discuss with you ure reasons for not believing in a god without bringing up God if u want. It's just to me, its seems impossible that our existence just happened because of nothing. Also I can't just ignore Prophet Muhammad's prohet hood and all the signs leading to a God. There are just too many signs and thats why the Quran is so beautiful. Also god isn't evil he is just telling humans how to live good lives. If you do a bad thing then that's a sin like murder and if u do a good thing then he will reward u. Isn't that fair. And one of the reasons God does exist is because of morality. How do we humans know what's right and what's wrong. Morality is objective.

OK brother, i think you are referring when the prophet combed his hair a certain way, only being told that was how the Jews did it and the prophet stopped saying anyone who imitates the kafir are from them, however brother imitating them has to be something which is specific for them, for example the Jews were known for combing their hair like that, however having a nice, tune to your nasheed isn't something the kafir are known for it can come from anyone, the Islamic poets during the prophets time were vary similar to this intro

That's true. Theories can be true or false, theories have predictive power and it hasn't been proven false by experiments yet. We can believe in something without knowing it 100%, or even without knowing it is 100% true. The guy was saying we need to know everything 100% before we believe it.

This was an interesting debate/discussion (as were Episodes 2 & 3). I'd just say to the atheist(s), accept the existence of a Creator; it's the only thing that makes sense, and, you'll sleep better at night. Furthermore, we're all born with a yearning to seek out and connect with this Creator - read, study and reflect. That's the starting point of the journey, and, the Creator will meet you halfway in recognition of your seeking out the truth. Enjoyed the video; thanks for uploading it.

I think what the atheist gentleman was arguing is very rational. He's basically saying there is no way of knowing with absolute certainty on anything. Hamza seemed to want him to admit that he appeals to authority of some kind, when in fact that's the complete opposite of his position. A religious person appeals to the authority of the god they believe in, where as an atheist appeals to no authority because nothing can be shown to be absolute.

When people talk about squaring the circles, or reconciling two viewpoints or models, that is only an issue with people who have preconceived ideas, but scientists cannot have preconceived ideas they must believe the evidence. All scientific models must conform to NATURE or REALITY, If there is any tiny evidence for some unnatural forces then they must include that in their paper and account for it.

It’s non-intuitive to understand that all this complexity is just natural and no intervention of any being is required, it’s much much simpler and easier for humans to believe that some being did it magically, especially when we are indoctrinated to believe from a very early age by our parents, teachers, leaders, elders practically everyone. And if we don’t conform to our parents religions then we can be shunned, disowned and possibly harmed. originally from Karachi Pakistan and Teer Haripur Hazaara, now ex-Muslim Atheist .

Ok. Let us assume that everything ...the universe and every single species on earth was designed and created. let´s explore this as a possibility: 1. Is it possible that there were more than one designer? if no, why not? 2. Is it possible that the result of the design is not intentional but rather accidental? 3. Is it possible that the designer or Designers no longer exist? it is after all possible for a creation to outlive ist creator....no? why not? a watch can still work Long after the watchmaker dies. Maybe this could explain why we don´t see tons of absolutely new kinds of creatures popping out every day? could the designer be dead?

That brother is confused. He is just basing his whole argument on we don't know. Even with scientists backed up claims with theorys he has no clue about and he just rejects them. As long as you have an idea and it can be proven wrong he won't accept it. I feel a person like this can only believe if he saw God with his very 2 eyes. No other way.

To those who read this comment, especially if you are a Muslim and not all that well educated: Hamza is trying to argue that if the universe had a begining, and before that there was nothing, then a creator must have created it, else how could anything come from nothing? In other words Hamza is relying on a semantic duality. Humans do think a lot in dualaties or opposited, like is it hot or cold, dead or alive, edible or poisonous, etc. Enough study of this semantic tendency has been done that it is clear now that any question formed in such a way as to seek a yes or no answer arises to serve a particular need, often a pressing need. For instance if I am hungry and I see a tree on which hangs fruit, I want to know immediately or as quickly as possible if the fruit is edible or poisonous. Of course the truth may be that it is edible but slightly poisonous. It will nourish but give a stomach ache. It could also be, like in the case of the blowfish, that most is edible but only one part is poisonous. It could be that the fruit is edible, but a fungus that is living on it's skin is poisonous. Nothing is actually dualistic, such questions just arise out of need. Everything we study carefully is seen to be very variable and quite often can be plotted on a spectrum. If I want to make tea I will want to know if the water is hot. Hmmmm....but how hot should it be? Well after some study and experiment, with a thermometer I can know at exactly what temp the water should be to make the best tea. However it will still be pretty good tea if the water is +/- 10 deg(F) from the ideal temp. The question "how can nothing come from nothing" can simply be restated as "it did not come from nothing, but came from a degree so close to nothing that it would be like trying to make tea from ice cold water (which actually can be done if there is enough time, but might not taste the same)

Why do you put music at the beginning of the video? Mentioning Allah and Islam? I don't understand that

I think the point the atheist guy is making is this: It is not unreasonable to believe that there is a cause of the universe but there is NO ABSOLUTE PROOF and religious people, in general, believe with absolute certainty in the cause of the universe (God). The absolute belief in God, its prophets, books (like Qur'aan and Bible) is REQUIRED by (especially) Christianity and Islam. Any one who says that I believe that it is highly probable that God exists but there might be a possibility that He may not is, in general, (especially by Sunni Muslims) will not be considered a muslim. So it is unreasonable for religious people to have absolute belief based on what is the most probable (as of now).
